4th anniversary of Bradley upset of Kansas 3/17/06

I remember I was at baseball practice p****d off because A.) I was missing the game and B.) it was a Friday night and we were stuck at practice... Fortunately my coach wasn't a total jerk and at least gave me updates during practice

I was in Auburn Hills with BigDaddy......

That was the greatest few days I have ever had as a BU fan.

It was crazy, exciting, tense, fun, you name it.....

What a great weekend

The Venetian Sportsbook during the game...tackling people and celebrating on the floor immediately after the game...didn't sleep until after we beat Pitt...

Unfortunately I was in Mexico during Bradleys spring break and the bar we were at had 1 tv on the tournament and we were stuck watching the Texas game. I was the only one cheering during timeouts and imbound plays because I was watching the score change of the Bradley Kansas game on top of the screen... the did cut to the last 2 minutes of the game when the upset looked like it was going to take place.... I might of had a few drinks after the game to celebrate but I dont remember ;)

At the game in Auburn hills. I remember turning to my brother after Will Franklin banked in the near half court shot at the end of the first half to put us up 10 and telling him it was worth the 9 hour drive to watch Bradley whoop Kansas for a half of the game. I didn't even care if we lost in the 2nd half. Of course winning the game was just icing on the cake.

I was in Auburn Hills. One of the most fun and exciting experiences of my life.

On the way home after the Pitt game our cell phones rang off the hook. Our wives and kids were pumped and drove 45 miles to see the team at the airport and called us to listen as we drove home.

I remember thinking...."this is what BU fans want!" We often get chastised for our expectations by people who say..."BU glory days are in the past" or "what do you expect the final four?"

NO...we expect and hope for what we got in March 2006 and even to some degree what we were surprised with in 2007.

I am not in any way a negative person or a "hater" as some are labeled. But I believe BU fans know exactly what they want and what we have had the last couple years is not that.

I simply want to play in MVC conference games that MATTER...regular season and tournament. And once every 4,6 even 8 years...I want to experience what we did in Auburn Hills.
