4 MVC games tonight 12/10/08

Maybe, but none of them are easy games...except possibly the UE/EIU game, but...
Eastern has lost 5 games that were reasonably close, 3 of them road games,
to
Ball State, IPFW, IUPUI, IPFW again , and Austin Peay.

with a good night (since Butler's RPI is 3), the Valley can move up into the top 5-6 conferences.

Dayton at Creighton 7:05 pm CST...

Dayton has one of their starters out with injury, and which P'Allen will show up?
So far, 7 games into the season, P'Allen's sophomore stats are no better, maybe slightly worse than his freshman stats.

last year 12.6 ppg, FG%=43% and 3-pt%=31.7%, rebs 3.4/gm
this year 12.7 ppg, FG%=40% and 3-pt%=28.0%, rebs 3.3/gm

Wow..these are the games that are going to help out the valley

Here's hoping for 4/4 and at least 1/4 as long as the 1 is Bradley

He also sat out the entire Nebraska game, so his numbers this year are a bit worse, since there is one less game to adjust against.

Having seen them in Chicago, if Dayton plays anything like they did against Marquette, they will beat Creighton. I'm shocked they're getting six points in the spread. Injury or not, Dayton is deep and a really good team.

Considering the Valley's track record this season, I'd say Evansville is the only sure thing. I say we go 2-2, with Bradley being the other win.

I say we go 2-2 tonight...

The Evansville and Tulsa games should be obvious wins for the home teams...

The other two are swing games that could go either way.

Missouri State had only FOUR turnovers.
but they got outrebounded 45-22.
Tulsa spent the whole evening on the FT line...28-37
Only 4898 at Tulsa...

As I thought, the Evansville - Eastern Illinois game was a very close game, 80-76,
ex-BU recruit TJ Marion had a career day for EIU.
10-18, 27 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists.
Jason Holzinger 31 points....poss. the POW?

and to fan the flames near DePaul coach Jerry Wainwright's HOT SEAT...
DePaul loses AT HOME to Morgan State

WIU wins again. 71-66 over SEMO, to go 4-5 and stretch their winning streak to THREE straight games.

U of I beats Chicago State (Mike Tisdale 25 pt/10 reb).
