One other recruiting related bit of news-Bradley has been making contact with European sources to aid in recruiting more Euro talent.
With the rise in NIL money, the best young players in some of the top European leagues are looking to play college basketball in the US for money, rather than develop as amateurs with the European club teams. Illinois has recently focused on attracting some of the best European players like Tomislav Ivisic, Kasparas Jakucionis, Zvonimir Ivisic, Andrej Stojakovic, and David Mirkovic.

Here is an interesting article that mentions a couple French players (Roman Domon & Mathis Courbon) who both just signed with Murray State.

Yeah- when NCAA rosters become 80% Euro kids, and all the top HS, juco & AAU talent gets stuck going DII you know what will happen -
More NCAA DEI-like rule changes for “balance”.

Bradley has offered 2026 recruit Mason Fuentes of Riviera High School in Miami, Florida. He is a 6'2" point guard who plays on the same high school team in Miami that Gustavo Guimarães played on the last couple years. - https://verbalcommits.com/players/mason-fuentes

Mason Fuentes was recently named the Player of the Year in the Miami area by the Miami Herald-

Mason has a younger brother, Myles Fuentes (2027), who is a highly rated recruit with multiple Power 5 offers- https://verbalcommits.com/players/myles-fuentes

Article mentioning Gustavo and the Fuentes brothers- https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/high-school/prep-miami-dade/article285754716.html

It may have happened, but I can't remember the last D1 player I heard getting suspended for grades.
Not suspended but end up doing a prep school year or going juco- happens commonly
Bradley has had players who were expected to come for summer but couldn’t because they still had to complete courses, plus schools differ on academic requirements- which is why a bunch end up at New Mexico State.

Ray definitely looks like he would be a nice athletic compliment to the brute force of Meta, but there has to be more to the story as to why he didn't play this past year.

.....
I know highlight videos can be deceptively edited, but this guy looks incredibly athletic -
there definitely is something missing in this whole story about why he did not play the entire 2024-25 season.
On the team website the stats show he only started a few games and played less than 20 min per game, yet
led the team in fouls and foul-outs, so I'm guessing maybe that's a factor.

Here's one picture demonstrating the guy's vertical leap - LINK

maybe someone who was previously expected to be here this summer, is not coming - so they're still looking to fill that spot?

While the search seems to be fixed on the 4/5 positions, we are seeing wings and even point guards. If someone is not showing up, it would be hard to determine who. It will be summer before much, if anything, be determined.

A few more-
