2026 and beyond recruits

When is fall signing period? I think it’s usually middle of November.
The signing period is November 12-19, 2025, but the NCAA has eliminated the National Letter of Intent for basketball and football. With all the changes that the NCAA made with NLI, paying players directly, scholarship increases, roster size, etc., they also ruled that there will no longer be a Letter of Intent for those two sports. Athletes can sign scholarship papers with the school, but there is no longer any an NLI.

From what I have heard, he has offers from Missouri State (where he is making an official visit today and tomorrow), South Dakota State, Western Illinois, and a couple other lower level schools. He's made unofficial visits to multiple other D1 schools, but not been offered, yet (including Bradley & Illinois), and he's had multiple schools visit his school to watch him. I think he has a high upside, and will probably have a dominant senior year. If he does, he'll have a lot of other offers. So, he might be better to wait before committing.
oh we havn't offered?

Bradley has not offered Knowles, and the only big men offers Bradley is known to have extended for 2026
have been to solid, mature, juco big guys, likely because we already have three somewhat "developmental" big guys
(Yu, Guimaraes, Toussaint)
BU doesn't have a lot of open scholarships currently, and you can't help but notice that Wardle is being very selective and not
extending very many offers for 2026, but we will see more activity in the spring when the portal heats up.

Gotcha...makes sense. It's a fine line balancing act anymore...crazy stuff

Bradley offers 6-9 juco forward Ben Thornbrue (2026)

He is a sophomore at College of Southern Idaho - LINK

Some info about 3 recent recruits that Bradley offered-
Bradley hosted 2026 juco recruits Ben Thornbrue last week, and Braylon Wenger this past weekend. Both have offers from Bradley but no commitment yet from either. I believe Bradley will continue to follow these two closely.
Ben Thornbrue is a 6'8" redshirt sophomore forward at College of Southern Idaho. He attended Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon in 2024-25 and averaged 21.6 ppg and 7.3 rpg. Lane CC competes in the Northwest Athletic Conference, a community college conference comprised of 36 junior colleges in Oregon, Washington, and Canada. They are not part of the NJCAA. He was at Snow College, a junior college in Ephraim, Utah, in 2023-24, but did not play. He transferred and will play at CSI in 2025-26. He has been impressive in summer juco exposure events the last few months. Their season starts with a game Friday, Oct. 31, against Yavapai College.

Braylon Wenger is a 6'6" wing at Trinity Valley CC in Athens, Texas. He was a freshman on the 2024-25 team, which won the NJCAA National Championship. And they are the unanimous pick for the #1 spot in the preseason rankings in the NJCAA this year.
Note that College of Southern Idaho is ranked #17.
Here is a video of an interview with Wenger discussing last year's national championship. He is expected to play a bigger role this year on a loaded team. Last season, he averaged 5.0 ppg in 10 minutes per game off the bench for Trinity Valley CC-

Their 2025-26 regular season starts Saturday, Nov. 1, with a home game against Frank Phillips College.

The third 2026 junior college recruit Bradley has offered in the last couple weeks is Nazir Allen, a 6'8" forward at Mineral Area College in Park Hills, Missouri. That is the same junior college that Malevy Leon played for from 2019-2021. Nazir Allen is originally from Memphis. Last season, as a freshman at Cloud County CC in Kansas, he averaged 5.3 ppg and 2.3 rpg, however, he left after playing only 3 games. He is now at Mineral Area CC and has also been impressive in early season juco exposure events.
I cannot find any report that he has visited Bradley yet.

Ben Thornbrue of Hillsboro, Oregon, via College of Southern Idaho, commits to Bradley tonight. He becomes Bradley's second commitment for 2026, in addition to Race Kowalczyk (St. John's Jesuit High School & Academy, Toledo, OH).

BU Scholarship Grid updated-

Noah Mendy, who Bradley just offered, is an athletic 6'6" sophomore wing/guard at Daytona State College in Florida. Last season as a freshman, he averaged 6.3 ppg and 2.4 rpg in just 14 minutes per game off the bench. But he has been very impressive and has shot the ball very well in preseason junior college exposure events this year. He is originally from Lyon, France, and played prep school ball at Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut.

I may have missed it but what about the point guard from richwoods that will be a sophomore? Has BU offered or are they assuming they have no chance since he is considered one of the best sophomore point guards in the country?

You are referring to Amarion Smith-Holley, a sophomore point guard at Peoria Richwoods HS. He already reportedly has an offer from Illinois, as well as Arizona State and a couple of other lower D1's-
I have not heard whether Bradley is recruiting him.

Thanks for the info, I had seen those offers which made me wonder if he has indicated he wasn't interested in BU or BU doesn't think they stand a chance so are not wasting their time.

Welcome, balldontlie92!
Yes, he was terrific at the Washington Kevin Brown Memorial Tournament of Champions, reportedly averaging 25.3 ppg and 13 rpg.
There's nothing official. He liked Missouri State and might have been leaning that direction from what I've heard, but they have been so bad and there are now rumors that Cuonzo Martin may not be there much longer. I think he's going to get more offers by waiting.
