Belmont gets beaten pretty badly in an exhibition at Duke- 102-62.
Sophomore guard from Bradley, Matthew Zobrist, was their leading scorer with 11 points off the bench!

Zobrist was 4-11, 11 pts, former BU recruit Cooper Knowles scored 1 pt
Jack Smiley- who THIS GUY just picked as 1st Team All MVC - was 3-11 and 9 pts
Here's the stats -- LINK

Oh go figure!!!!

I watched most of the Duke /Belmont game. Zobrist looks to be a significant part of their rotation. He came into the game early -with only 4 minutes gone in the first half and I thought looked good. I hate that 2 of the players in their rotation will be from Peoria. They did get killed but it was a very early season game at Duke and Duke looks really good. Also Belmont was without Dillon and Lemke (tfer from Gonzaga that hardly played so I don’t know anything about him). Belmont did not shoot well from 3 (23 percent) but not sure how much of that is because of Duke’s size, athleticism and depth. Also of note for Duke is Scharnowski (transfer from Belmont) did not play. Belmont should be pretty good.

It's not just an early season game, it was an exhibition game, so I wouldn't put much stock in it at all.

I saw that on the offiical play-by-play.
What happened, was that starter Jabez Jenkins picked up his 2nd foul really early at 15:51 when the score was 13-7 Duke leading.
At that point, Coach Bradds certainly still had hopes he'd be able to stay with Duke, but didn't want his experienced starting shooting guard
to foul out early so went with Zobs as a backup, giving him'a lot of early playing time. Zobrist then played almost all of the remaining time
in the first half and even started & played the first couple minutes of the 2nd half, then got more time later when Jenkins got his 4th foul.

So in the end, Jenkins' foul trouble really benefitted Zobrist and gave him a chance to show his stuff.
Cooper Knowles, despite it being a lopsided exhibition, didn't get much playing time at all. Just the final 3 minutes of the game, when Duke was already 40 points up and playing their subs.

Belmont's weakness is clearly rebounding. Only two players grabbed more than 3 rebounds- Smiley with 4 and Neugebauer with 5.

Box score - game was played on Duke's home floor, Cameron Indoor Stadium, and yet
the box score states that it was played on a "NEUTRAL COURT". LOL- Prob the least neutral court in all of Division I.

ISU red downs Northwestern 70-64.

Cleveland with 16pts, 15 rebounds. He’s gonna be a problem.
Interesting lineup for Northwestern- and ISU took advantage
The main rotation and top seven guys in playing time were-
6-3, 6-3, 6-4, 6-5, 6-6, 6-7 & one 6-9 guy off the bench, 5th in playing time (21 min)- had team-lead in rebounds at just 6.

Any wonder they got outrebounded, esp offensive rebounds (18-9)- surprised the margin of defeat wasn't worse.
Northwestern shot well (51% overall, 43% from 3-pt), but they're going to get killed in the Big Ten with such poor post play & rebounding.

Meanwhile ISU shot really poorly (35.9% overall, 29.2% from 3-pt), but the difference was 2nd chance points off the offensive rebounds.
ISU's three big guys (Walker, Cleveland, Allen) had 13 offensive rebounds while Northwestern's entire starting lineup had just 3.
