As previously noted, one-time #1 national recruit Emoni Bates, spent a season at Memphis, only playing in 18 of 33 games due to injuries and averaging 9.7 points and 3.3 rebounds. He left Memphis and transferred to Eastern Michigan, who plays Bradley in Peoria Tuesday, Nov. 15-

But today, Eastern Michigan announced Bates will be suspended following an arrest last night. He was reportedly stopped for a traffic violation, but a search of the car he was driving uncovered a concealed gun that had altered ID markings.

As noted in another thread, the Bradley Red-White Scrimmage will be Saturday, October 15.

Also, the Bid for the Braves event is Saturday, Oct. 22.

I have also heard they were working on plans to have a closed scrimmage, which Bradley has done several times in recent years. Bradley played at Iowa last October 23 in a secret scrimmage. In October, 2019, Bradley hosted Eastern Illinois, in October, 2018, Bradley scrimmaged Northern Kentucky in Indianapolis, in 2017 they played UIC in closed scrimmage, in 2016, they played South Dakota State in a closed scrimmage, and in 2014, they scrimmaged against UW-Milwaukee. They did not play a preseason closed scrimmage in 2020 due to the pandemic, nor 2015, Wardle's first season.
No word yet who the opponent might be this year, or when it will be. Most likely, if it happens, it would be sometime during the week prior to the Nov. 2 exhibition game against Illinois Wesleyan.

The Red-White Scrimmage is called the Red-White Showcase this year, and is set for Saturday, October 15.
However, the article is somewhat vague whether there will actually be a scrimmage as there has been in the past.

The event at the Renaissance Coliseum starts with a Bradley volleyball game against Indiana State (5 p.m.).
Then "no earlier than 7 p.m.", the basketball teams will take the court for team introductions, skills and practice competitions.
There will also be special promotions and giveaways, as well as a "Warehouse Sale" of apparel and gear.

BREAKING: Felony charges against Emoni Bates are set to be dismissed next week after a negotiated plea deal, his lawyer told ESPN. Bates is cleared to return to practice and is in process of being cleared to return to campus classes, sources told ESPN.

It must be nice to be a 5-star athlete. Do you think an ordinary guy would get such a deal after being arrested for a felony (carrying a concealed weapon and "altering ID marks" on a firearm) like Bates was? All felony charges dropped, plead only to a misdemeanor, which will then be completely dismissed, be fully reinstated to the university with his full scholarship, and immediately be reinstated to the team and all team activities. What a deal!

Bradley played Wisconsin-Parkside once before in a regular season game. In the 2018-19 season, Bradley's first game of that season was a home game against UW-Parkside (11/7/2018 ). Bradley won the game 74-58. Bradley finished the 2018-19 season 20-15, and won the 2019 MVC Tournament Championship.-

Hey Coach, I know d2 games don't count for NET rankings but do they count for individual stats (1,000 pt club) etc.?

Yes, the stats that individual D1 players have against D2 opponents do count toward their NCAA D1 stats.
Example- Bradley played one of their 31 games last year against D2 Missouri S&T.
On the official NCAA stats website, Terry Roberts is listed as playing 31 games, indicating that even the Missouri S&T game stats are included in their season stats.
