2019 & Beyond Recruiting Targets

OK but you said MUST get a kid that can play this year. You didn’t say maybe or might you said MUST in capital letters. Based on that I said you will be disappointed.

Do you know for a fact that they won't get a commit that will be eligible to play next season?

but my demands for recruiting always take a back seat to those of the head coach - but as I said...
I kinda predicted exactly what was going to happen this past season at ISU when all the ISU people including Muller
were giddy about how strong and deep their team was - but it was obvious to me they were seeing a mirage...
They really had no true point guard, they tended to regularly rely way too much on just 2 or 3 guys, and they tied up way
too many scholarships on kids that had to sit out or who had walk-on or DII talent.

I just don't want to see that happen for us....
again - we'd be asking for trouble if Kingsby doesn't get the waiver and either (or both) Nate & DB get hurt (those are not long shot possibilities -
those kinds of things happen)
We could be picked in the top-two in the MVC next season just like ISU was then risk playing on Thursday if we get caught shorthanded.
Time will tell - but Wardle's done a very good job thus far with the players recruited - so I trust his judgment even tho I expressed what I'd like to see.

I didn’t say your reasons for wanting a kid that can play this year are wrong headed. I said it isn’t happening. You can also stop worrying about Kingsby playing this year.

of course nothing is 100% until it happens....

this is why despite all the guarantees & assurances from the "experts" - especially those at PJS I never fell for any of these ...
...and this list is just the most ridiculous ones...

--don't worry, she won't fire Ken Kavanagh
--don't worry, she wouldn't fire his entire assistant coaching staff then bring in her own
--don't worry, she knows what she's doing...
--don't worry, sure she just jacked her salary to $800K+ and extended herself thru 2020 but she is leading us in the right direction
--don't worry, Geno knows what he's doing and these recruits (Xzavier Taylor, Jermaine Morgan, Chris Blake, Kendahl Amerson, Stefan Zecevic...) are "light years" better than what we had...on par with the Mitchell Anderson/Thirdkill class
--don't worry, Geno has Michael Tucker in the bag and he'll be a stud here in the fall
--don't worry, Geno will have BU in the NCAA by year 3 or 4
--and all the ISU folks telling us that ISU was a Top 40 team, their RPI (NET) would blow away Bradley's and that they were as deep as they had ever been
--then the one I still consider the most laughable of all time - the personal letter supposedly direct from Board Chairman Doug Stewart saying
that he and the board were fully satisfied with Joanne Glasser and that (in fall of 2014) Bradley Athletics was in the midst of the MOST SUCCESSUL run that they had seen in the past 30 years!!

An impact transfer like who you are referring to would be OK with me. It would be worth having to play an extra man short to get someone with his talent.
We lose a couple likely All MVC guards next year (D. Brown & Nate K.), so we can really use another talented scoring guard for 2020-21.

It sounds like IB has heard someone is close. Is it safe to assume you have too DC?

He just received his release from Eastern Michigan a little over a week ago.

It would be interesting to hear how the recruiting process worked that made it possible for Bradley to land Kevin after such a short amount of time after he received his release from Eastern Michigan.

Back in January, we reported that Bradley was recruiting RaShaun Agee-
https://www.bradleyfans.com/forum/sp...431#post481431

I don't know if we are still recruiting him, but it is unusual for a big kid like him with talent has only been getting a few non-major offers. There may be other issues, Or he is being advised that he should aim higher.

Here is a pretty good indicator that one-time Bradley recruit Rashaun Agee must have had academic issues. He finally committed, and it was to New Mexico State, where kids usually end up after no other college in America can find a way to get them into their school.
