2019 & Beyond Recruiting Targets

I can confirm that Danya Kingsby (see link in post above) has been one touch with our coaches. ;)
He is originally from Milwaukee, and our coaches are familiar with him since high school. He also played at Arlington Country Day prep school in Orlando, before spending this season at LSU. Our coaches recruited Koch Bar and Jayden Hodgson from there. Our coaches are also very familiar with the coach who was there and is now at another prep school that we've recruited players from. I could see him wearing red and white next year. :)

https://athletics.csi.edu/roster.aspx?rp_id=1182

One of Darrell Brown's old AAU teammates (Team Penny) that undoubtedly our staff saw & possibly recruited & knows -
Jaylen Fisher - is leaving TCU & transferring - he is one of their best players, avg 12 ppg, & hits 44% from 3-pt range and 90% on FTs

It's time for some campus visits now that Bradley is eliminated. :)

there are always rumors but let's not go overboard

Brian Wardle has said on more than one occasion that we now have kids wanting to and asking about transferring here to Bradley now that our program is on the rise...
...We have former threads all about a few certain kids who might have connections to our staff...kids who are local to Milwaukee or who have been recruited by our staff before or who are friends of kids on our team...

In fact - nobody has documented these guys better than we have...

Our first mention of our staff's interest in one of them was four years ago - https://www.bradleyfans.com/forum/sp...-danya-kingsby

And we were also aware that same person was interested in Bradley last year when he transferred to LSU -
https://www.bradleyfans.com/forum/s...visit-bradley-this-friday?p=463272#post463272

and one other was multiple months ago - https://www.bradleyfans.com/forum/sp...ansfers/page13

I "suspect" we will be hosting some recruits on campus next week...likely we might also hear about any personnel changes.... ;)

well, sad to hear of Jayden & Pittman leaving - they were part of our rebuild
...now we know who is leaving - we only have to wait to hear confirmation on who is coming in....
Hopefully we hear no further departures..

super-atheltic Springfield SE SG Anthony Fairlee has been lost for the remainder of the season due to a right knee injury that required surgery today.

One-time Bradley recruit Anthony Fairlee of Springfield Southeast, who missed much of his senior season due to a knee injury, has committed to
Mineral Area Community College in Park Hills, Missouri

2020 guard Donovan Williams, who Bradley has been recruiting for a few months and who was offered,
just committed to University of Nebraska. He is from Lincoln, Nebraska.
2019 Akol Arop- 6'5" wing forward from Creighton Preparatory School in Omaha, Nebraska. ...
Bradley has reportedly offered Nana Akenten, a 6'6" wing forward from Bolingbrook HS in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

gotta wonder that these four kids who were at, signed or verbaled to Nebraska will reopen and consider Bradley!
Akenten in particular is one that the Nebraska fans suspect wants out - https://www.omaha.com/huskers/mens-...cle_9fd15cb8-b839-5168-b5a1-7b1c70aa1928.html

Bradley is recruiting 2019 juco A.J. Bramah, a sophomore at Sheridan College in Sheridan, Wyoming. He is originally from San Leandro, California.
As a freshman, he started all 30 games he appeared in for Sheridan College (28-5), averaged 14.0 ppg, 10.1 rpg, a team-leading 3.2 assists per game, and he shot 54.3% overall and 35.3% from three on very few attempts.

One time Bradley juco recruit A.J. Bramah had a nice sophomore season at Sheridan College in Wyoming (13.2 ppg & 7.6 rpg). Bradley is no longer recruiting him, and he is still uncommitted. He just narrowed his choices to Loyola Marymount and Robert Morris.

list kinda cleaned up and names removed if they are no longer on our radar or committed elsewhere
Tyronn Mosley now headed to Coffeyville - may still be a 2021 recruit
..a couple others signed with jucos and some of the remaining 2019's on the lower end of the list are longshots

Here is another new name that Bradley is recruiting-
J.D. Notae- he is a 6'2" shooting guard who is finishing his sophomore season at Jacksonville University (Jacksonville, FL) and he has been granted his release to transfer.
He lead the JU team in scoring (15.5 ppg), rebounding (6.2 rpg), and assists (3.4 apg).
http://verbalcommits.com/players/janaud-notae

Bio-
https://www.judolphins.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=1145

Stats- He also averaged 15.4 pg as a freshman and shot over 40% from three-

I did not know Jacksonville University was a D1 basketball program. If you had quizzed me about it I would definitely have gotten it wrong. If he is someone we are still interested in after the Kingsby verbal it stands to reason the staff is looking for perimeter help for the remaining scholarship. Of course, they could just be going with a “best player possible” approach and this interest doesn’t mean anything special.

I can also confirm that our coaches are talking to and setting up other visits including transfers and other available 2019 kids.

How many open scholarships do we have now that Danya Kingsby has committed? Will JaMir Price have to make a decision on doing a year of prep school before the Spring signing season? I hope we can sign another big man to help Eli Childs underneath. I'm already looking forward to the next season!

We were the first (Sept. 26, 2018 ) and only source initially that reported that JaMir Price committed to Bradley with the agreement that he would do a year of prep school before coming to enrolling at Bradley. That info came from the highest and most reliable source, and as of now, still appears to be true.
https://www.bradleyfans.com/forum/sp...its-to-bradley

Therefore, we have one open scholarship available for 2019, assuming no further changes with the known scholarship players occur.
There is always a chance some other unexpected changes could happen.
And as we have also been reporting, the plan is to sign at least one other recruit (priority is a forward (though that also could change).

Here is the updated Scholarship Grid-
https://www.bradleyfans.com/forum/sp...holarship-grid

Scholarship-grid-3-30-19a.png

I ran into a Quad City Elite coach a couple days ago and he confirmed Price is doing prep school meaning we have one more scholarship to give for next year. He knows he’s not ready yet but he’s pumped. I know the QC area isn’t known for basketball talent but it’s good to establish ties and get exposure there and with the Elite program up and running the area talent should be better developed.

This grid is awesome. Thank you for posting. Any chance you could make a thread with this locked on top?

We could do that. It's good idea. But it has always been locked at the top of the Recruiting Forum and updated frequently-

DISCLAIMER: I have no inside information and do not claim to know who the staff is interested in or what their thinking is for the final scholarship.

I wonder if we have been in contact with Tristan Enaruna. He is a 6’10” forward from the Netherlands playing at Wasatch Acadamy in Utah. With our history of Dutch recruits through Luuk and now Rienk, maybe that is a pipeline that would be worth it. He is very athletic and would fit well on our roster.
