2019 & Beyond Recruiting Targets

...
2019 Yuri Collins- 5'10" point guard from St. Mary's HS in St. Louis, MO.

Videos-

as noted from that post above, Bradley has been tracking Yuri Collins for about a month now...

"Collins also plans to take an official visit to St. Louis the weekend of Sept. 8.
He said he doesn??™t have any other officials planned at the moment, and that
he??™ll know if he wants to schedule more after visiting St. Louis and Iowa.

While those two programs would seem to have the edge, Collins also has
mutual interest with DePaul, SMU and Bradley."

https://www.hawkcentral.com/story/s...arget-yuri-collins-fran-mccaffery/1049431002/

- a couple recent tweets say that Bradley is still among his top interests...

"It's mainly Iowa vs. St. Louis right now for Yuri Collins, with SMU, DePaul and Bradley in the mix. But the allure of the Big Ten is a major factor here."

https://twitter.com/MatthewBain_/status/1031963363050434562

"Yuri Collins @smoovYC1 tells SF he is being recruited heaviest by: SLU, Iowa, Depaul, Bradley & SMU"

high priority 2019 BU target Michael Moreno is reported to be on an official visit to Eastern Kentucky (only 45 miles from his home)
he has also visited Bradley already on an unofficial visit
http://bradleyfans.com/vb/showthread.php?p=825124177&highlight=michael+moreno+visit#post825124177

I suspect he will also take an official visit here soon

Ray J. Dennis also cuts his list and eliminates Bradley

also - another BU target, Stephan Gabriel has switched AAU teams and went from playing in Arizona to a team in New Jersey.. where he is originally from...
so it is possible he is switching schools as well, as the Hillcrest team does not mention him with their roster. *

Bradley is recruiting 2019 juco A.J. Bramah, a sophomore at Sheridan College in Sheridan, Wyoming. He is originally from San Leandro, California.
As a freshman, he started all 30 games he appeared in for Sheridan College (28-5), averaged 14.0 ppg, 10.1 rpg, a team-leading 3.2 assists per game, and he shot 54.3% overall and 35.3% from three on very few attempts.

Alex Hemenway narrows to four choices and has eliminated Bradley

proof that newspaper and internet reports are not always correct...
Just a week ago the Evansville Courier & Press reported that Hemenway had narrowed his choices to Clemson, Creighton, Belmont & DePaul and had eliminated Bradley.

but now it is being reported that Alex Hemenway is on official visit to BRADLEY right now

One of Alex Hemenway's final 4 choices, Creighton, is close to landing a 4-star shooting guard from the class of 2019-
https://twitter.com/coreyevans_10/status/1038795518422474752

And a couple other of his final 4 choices, Clemson and DePaul, have already gotten commitments from highly rated shooting guards from the class of 2019, and each will also have at least 3 other SGs with experience returning in 2019 when Hemenway is a freshman.-
http://verbalcommits.com/players/chase-hunter
http://verbalcommits.com/players/romeo-weems

And Belmont, the final school among Hemenway's final 4 choices, has 2 pretty good shooting guard prospects coming off redshirt years this season, who will both still be there in 2019-
http://verbalcommits.com/schools/belmont

So I suspect the prospect of more immediate playing time at Bradley might appeal to Hemenway. Let's hope so!

In addition to Alex Hemenway, Bradley has a couple other recruits on campus this weekend. We previously reported on JaMir Price, but Stephan Gabriel is also reported to be visiting.

D.J. Horne- a 6' point guard from a small school in North Carolina (Trinity Christian HS in Fayetteville, NC). The school has only 160 students in K through 12.-
https://247sports.com/Player/DJ-Horne-46057875/

There is very little information available on him on the internet.

About the only information I can find on their basketball program is this story regarding their basketball coach-

2019 point guard prospect that Bradley was recruiting, Elijah Pepper, just committed today to UC-Davis- https://twitter.com/Elijah_pepper12/status/1038878707518074880/photo/1

From Pantagraph story, looks like he picked ISU over St Louis and Northern Kentucky primarily. Will be his first year at new school who 2 state titles in a row in their class.

2019 point guard prospect that Bradley was recruiting, Elijah Pepper, just committed today to UC-Davis-.....

Elijah Pepper was a BU target - in fact, offering a kid way out west kinda shows he was someone our staff really wanted...

Way back when Bradley chose unwisely and fired Jim Les...
I recall some on this board had predicted that UC-Davis would rebuild their program before Bradley did - and they have
and some predicted UC-Davis would win their conference before Bradley did - and they have twice - plus winning their tourney
and some predicted they would make the NCAA Tourney before Bradley did - and they have
and some predicted they would beat us out on some recruits - and they have - starting way back in 2010 with Tyler Les - now Elijah Pepper

Too bad Joanne Glasser isn't around any more to enjoy getting her nose rubbed in the dirt..
