2011-12 Schedule

Right now I have our current 2011-12 schedule looking like this, assuming we hold to form and play in an exempt tournament with 2 home games and 2 neutral games (If I am leaving anything out please feel free to add) -

@ Wyoming (MVC-MWC Challenge)
@ Drexel (BracketBuster return from 2010)
Home Exempt
Home Exempt
Neutral Exempt
Neutral Exempt
Home BracketBuster

I am not aware of any return games we have for next year. I believe the WCU and NIU series have ended, EIU was a 'buy' game for us, and Duke was a 'buy' game for them. Were Detroit and Jackson St both one-time games? Hopefully we can land one marquee home game and perhaps do another 'buy' with a powerhouse like Duke. Also, I am hopeful our exempt tourney is either somewhere close (like Chicago), or a vacation destination (Vegas, Florida, California, Hawaii all work for me).

I am pretty sure WCU was a 2 for 1 situation, so they still have 1 game in Peoria to still play.

Ok, so then it lines up this way.

WCU
Home return 2010 BracketBuster
Home Exempt

Neutral Exempt

@ Drexel
@ Wyoming

So it looks like we'll only have 2 or 3 dates left to schedule. Without knowing what exempt tourney we're in, we're going to need some names in those final 2-3 games IMO.

Well regardless of the schedule, we need to play a lot better next year to make a good schedule benefit us. But scheduling up will help benefit the whole conference, so irregardless of the state of our team next year I hope we can land a solid schedule again.

Not sure I understand why we play a Home Bracketbuster, Home-Return Bracketbuster, and the Drexel Away Return Bracketbuster.

We get a return game from going on the road this year.
We go to Drexel as our return from last year (skipped it this year).
We host a home BracketBuster game next year.

I thought it had been decided that return games would take 2 years to be played (like the Drexel game) to avoid teams having 2 home games or 2 away games resulting from the Bracketbuster each year.

I believe there is the option to have 2 years to play them, but in all the time BU has been participating, this year is the first year they didn't do the return game the following season. With that being the case, I am going under the assumption that we go to Drexel next year for the '10 return, and host 2 BracketBuster-related games next year ('11 return and '12 selection).
