2010-2011 Schedule

Chances are LMU is part of the tourney.

Judging from a number of schedules in the past, not all schools list the prelims as part of the tourney, yet they technically are.

Also, it is likely BU can adopt an extra game and claim it for the tourney.

I have seen schools in the past be allowed to claim random games as tourney "counters". . .where that gets tricky however is that has usually been a non-DI. BU could not claim a game vs a team that might be participating in a different tournament, for instance.

With our depth, I don't see this as a problem. We just gotta' be ready to go and treat our exhibition like the real thing - get tougher in practices too!
Hopefully, we'll get a game before Nov. 16th to tune-up for the 4 games in 6 days.
I'm not liking that there's just 1 game (vs. Jackson St.) over a 20-day span though.

Best case - we get a game Nov. 12th or 13th and then another between Dec. 11th and Dec. 28th (or when Valley season begins).

Remember - this season - NO EXCUSES!
 
It's almost like we are getting our team ready for a tournament at the end of the season where we would (hopefully) win 3 games in 3 days

You would like to play yourself to that level and not have to peak to soon. These are 18-21 year olds not NBA veterans. I'm sure the staff will do all they can do to minimize the impact but it would be much better if these games were spread out. Here's to hoping that we have players that can finish a game early so the bench can play sizable minutes.
 
Don't know about the rest of the MVC schedule, but I do know that BU is at Creighton on Wed., Jan. 19th. No weekend roadtrip to Omaha this year :cry:

The game at Creighton was on a Saturday last year, but 5 out of the 6 seasons before last year it was on a weekday (4 Wednesdays, 1 Thursday, and 1 Saturday). It is usually the MVC trend to schedule a team's longer road trips for the weekends (to avoid players missing too much classroom time), but the Omaha trip has been an exception most years.
