Something tells me he'll be in the SEC next year.

For who? It's us and Charlotte that's left on his visit list. I guess he could wait and see who bails at Arkansas. However, I will be suprised if he ends up at BU. Pleasantly suprised.
I'm not exactly sure what their available scholarships look like, but why not Florida or Kentucky?

I'm not sure they were looking at him, but yeah, they definitely have openings. IMO if he was that caliber of player though, I don't think he would be looking at us.

Paper said Collins to make his first official visit to the hill this weekend.

Has he been here unofficially before or was his committ site unseen?

Where have you been? You don't read the posts here often enough!

David Collins was on campus a year ago for an unofficial visit.

Here is the original post from April, 2006, reporting his visit--

And more stuff about him from a previous thread--

SOME of us work for a living   Thanks for the update though.

In this particular case, Collins was on the BradleyFans radar a year before anyone else even knew of him, but dogs....
I do admire that there are hard working individuals who do work for a living, and some day I might just join the ranks and be one myself.

PS-- I think we can now officially tab this thread as the all time record setting thread on Bradleyfans.
In just under one week, this thread has 126 responses and well over 6000 views.

I just checked a "couple" of other local fan message boards, and couldn't find anything even close....not even 1/4 of the activity!

DRU
There - Total posts: 8539 [5.52 posts per day]

Here - Total posts: 801 [0.98 posts per day]

DRU complaining of being uninformed and overworked? = Just hanging out at the wrong joint wasting his time.

Since post counts are easily reviewd if you click on an individual poster's profile link, I can affirm that dogs is definitely changing his ways.

For example, it took the first 23 months that BradleyFans existed for dogs to post his first 400 posts, then his next 400 came in just the short 3.5 month interval since last Christmas.

So his daily posting average was
-- 0.5 per day over the first 400 then 4.0 per day over the past 400. Clearly you can see he is beginning to spend his time MUCH more wisely.

In contrast, his posting on the other board averages 5.52 posts per day over the past 4+ years, but he is down to less than 4 posts per day over the recent weeks.

So he's coming around!

He must be tiring of the ISU moderator over there. But really, if a BU fan wants to know whats going on with the team, coaches and especially recruiting this is the place to be.

Did they ever enable their personal messages?....lol

What are they scared of...????

I hope you're right! The recent number of openings at Florida and the coaching change at Kentucky could be changing the thought process though. I do think it will add a little more pressure if he's here at the same time as DC, although I still haven't seen any solid news on where the new scholarship is coming from.

I agree... I am new to message boards, but this board is much more interesting and informative... Especially for BU fans. :)

Thanks Beninator...this site stands alone as dedicated to serving Bradley basketball fans with the best place to find info and the skinny on players and recruits.

And no ISU fan moderators here to control anti Bradley content.

Bradley had another kid named Collins in 1998, Michael Collins.
Anyone know if there's any relation?

If you've ever seen Michael Collins, I'm guessing no. Mike Collins was a real nice kid and a real smart kid, but probably was in over his head here at BU basketball-wise.

I am certain David Collins (from Toronto, Canada) is not related to Michael Collins (from Wheaton, IL).

Michael Collins played 2 seasons (96-97 and 97-98 ) at Bradley under Jim Molinari, then transferred to Wheaton College where he finished his college career. Wheaton, a Div III school, was 20-7 in 1998-99 and 19-6 in 1999-2000 with Collins.

I think we can tell by the # of views to this thread that BU basketball is back to an all time high and hopefully this will translate into major ticket sales next season! 8)
