2 MVC Sunday 1/30

I think if Doug McDermott had gone to UNI they'd probably win the league again this year.

UNI up 1 at Missouri St with about 30 seconds left.
 
UNI does it again on the road!

60-59 over the Bears in Springfield.

UNI is on the cusp of the at-large conversation. MSU and WSU had better watch out, there's no way this league puts 3 teams in, so one of them would have to take the fall.
 
Wow folks...UNI is running a pretty impressive program...

And we here at BU spent a lot of time degrading those people, and they are shooting it down our throats regularly

I don't recall anyone doing that srw. Care to provide any specific examples?
 
The way it looks to me now is that both teams (UNI and MSU), along with Wichita State, may only get an NCAA bid if they win the tournament.
 
I'm going to see what BB games are coming for all the at-large contenders before declaring anyone out. I think people don't realize how still in this WSU is in.

Please. Evansville? What is Marty Simmons' 4-year record there?
Answer: 47-65, and they are 12-9 this season (11-9 against D1). I like Marty Simmons and I think he has done fairly well, but lets not try to rewrite the facts and make him into Dean Smith yet. Note that the cupboard was not bare when he got to Evansville either.
So save the accolades for when he gets Evansville to the NCAA tournament.

And I agree that Jacobson has done a great job at UNI, but some people don't seem to recall that he inherited a perennial NCAA team when he got there.

Jacobson has done a nice job this season - similar to the job JL did in the season after our Sweet 16 run. Somehow I think that UNI will not slide like BU has the past 2-3 seasons.
I have a hard time knocking BU in the season after the NIT season, OR the season after that. But the last 2 years have been flat-out underachieving.

Yes numerous Frostbite Falls references.

Many references from peoria media that they shouldnt have been allowed in the conference, etc.

This is not a message board personnel rant.

Its more that we at BU have to be better in our own skills.

The argument could be made, that we don't belong in the valley in many sports

two years ago...at this point in the season, Bradley was 7-3 and had an RPI of about 80...and yet there were people calling for a coaching change...can someone please explain to me the weird difference??

There is little, IMO. The one difference is that UNI had established a spot near the top of the conference the past few years while Bradley was always stuck in mid-pack. Still, I wasn't among those anti-Les people in '09.
