It is a full size court and the arena seats a reported 2,535. I think it looks smaller than it is in those photos because of the panoramic lens.
Eckerd College is a small school (about 1,900 students). The McArthur Center underwent a renovation in 2021. And then it was severely damaged in 2024 from the two hurricanes (Helene & Milton) that hit the area in late September and early October of 2024. While repairs were done, the basketball, volleyball and cheer teams had to move practices and games to other high school and college facilities that year.

I have a really hard time believing this gym holds 2,500 people, but it doesn't really matter since none of the games
are likely to draw anywhere near that.

Teams are fine facility 2nd rate. I wish they could have gone back to Florida Gulf Coast which is so much better. At least the area is nice and easy to get to by plane.
