Other Valley teams' schedules

With the new 3 exhibition game rule, it would be neat to see Illinois teams schedule games against each other. I like the Bradley / St Louis game, expand that to games playing DePaul, Northwestern, SIUE, Western, Northern after our series ends. Illinois would be great but not realistic. Also shut out Loyola, because I hold a grudge.
I would not give DePaul, SIUE, Western, Northern or Loyola the time of day for an exhibition game. Either they agree to play us when it counts or they can pound sand.

.... 2026 Paradise Jam. There are only three teams I can find that
appear to be confirmed as playing - InSU, SIU and Stephen F. Austin Univ. ....
a 4th team is now confirmed, East Carolina

ISU will host Bellarmine Nov 17 (11-19 last yr- ASUN Conference, NET 285, went 0-13 last year against Quads 1, 2, and 3)

a couple of big opportunities against Washington State and Arizona State, but there still are only four teams
confirmed for the Paradise Jam - still unable to fill those final four slots. Wonder if they will just shrink the whole event
to just those four teams.
Also, I am intrigued by a scheduled Nov. 17 "Neutral site game in Charlotte, NC" against an UNKNOWN opponent.

I'm guessing/assuming the return at WSU, in '27-'28, will be coupled with a return at Portland State.

Are you hinting?

Thought we might be doing that again...what tourneys are left? ....will we be in one?
Agreed - would have been a good tournament again, but it seems like they dropped down to only a 6 team bracket instead of an 8 team and a separate 4 team at the Disney Wide World of Sports. I'm sure they didn't want to have a 2nd Valley team in as well.

There aren't many tournaments left unfortunately. The Players Era and the Palm Springs events have taken a lot of teams, so there aren't as many out there. I still hope that BU finds a good tournament as it is good to get more neutral site non-conference games against decent mid-major competition.

I think its still a rule that you can't do the same MTE within a 2 or 3 year period.
Not true actually.. they repealed that rule... it used to be once every 4 years. But with the Players Era, the power conferences wanted to go to the same tournament every year for NIL money.

The big change this year actually is that every game counts as a game towards the limit. Previously MTE events only counted as 1 game, even if you played 3 games. So many schools are *not* going to be doing an MTE, especially bigger schools who just want to control their schedule and play other high-majors.

For good mid-major schools, getting an MTE is key to help the strength of schedule. It would be good to get a couple of games at an MTE. Some schools have decided they would rather not pay the travel costs. But let's hope BU can get a good tournament.
