Offers for 2026 and beyond

All these offers are fine but we need commitments soon after their visits or they have moved on for the most part either looking for more money or better facilities. Selling recruits is not easy but Bradley in the Valley has so much more fan support then any of the other teams in the conference. We also have a lot of players playing professionally after they leave Bradley. Those two things alone should be great selling points.
no coach lands everyone they want- and if they don't commit within a few days of their visit, the odds drop because the other schools recruiting them get in their ears...
I am satisfied with the quality of kids we're recruiting... they are all high achievers from winning programs who are solid academically. We can't use 4-year projects like we've had in the past

Good news....
Ben Thornbrue started and is playing for College of Southern Idaho tonight vs Utah State Eastern
Game just started - links are above

update....
CSI trails early but Thornbrue shooting well - 5-5 with 14 pts early

update- Thornbrue is 6-6 and 16 points at halftime as CSI trails by 6. I guess he's recovered from his eye injury.

Final- CSI wins again to go 22-1. Thornbrue finished with 19 pts on 7-9, 2 reb, 1 asst, a block & a steal.
College of Southern Idaho fought back from 14 points down to take the lead but then Thornbrue fouled out.
Cooper Kessler hit a jumper with 34 sec left then USUE had to foul, so the final score was 78-74.

well, just as I expected - BU target Ryan Hunt had a monster game and the new offers from P-5's have started

He'll probably get even more Power Conference offers, but this one is definitely going to be hard to beat since
his current teammate there at Eastern Arizona, and also a former BU recruiting target Kahu Treacher, is already
COMMITTED to Oregon State.

Maybe Hunt would like to go someplace that he could keep putting numbers up like that. He could be a monster in the MVC...wonder if hed be given the same opportunity at a P5...who knows.

We can only hope cuz ur right..more offers on the way for him.

yes
I have no problem with our staff targeting and offering guys who have P-5 caliber talent, even if there's a good chance
we lose them to the big boys......Aim high!

I watched the game last nite with Ryan Hunt, Eastern Arizona vs Cochise...
He is tall, big wingspan, grabs tons of rebounds, a lot of his scoring are putbacks. But he plays mostly
"below the rim", doesn't get off the floor and walks back on defense - all of which I think is why the big schools
have yet to offer. I still have to believe like most of the Australian kids who come over to play college ball, he will
want to stay on the west coast, and since he already has the Oregon State offer, I believe our chances are slim.

Of the guys on the list above who are uncommitted, now that I've seen them play, I'd rank the guys I'd like to get this way-
Hunt (even tho chances are slim), Register, Allen, Roman, Mendy, Rivers.
Keep in mind BU may have other offers out there (and I hope we do!) that we don't know about...

and here's the list of the guys we're known to have offered or committed to BU

2026
Race Kowalczyk - COMMITTED - LINK
Braylon Roman- avg 13.6 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 5.1 asst and hitting 42% from 3-pt
Ben Thornbrue - COMMITTED
Nazir Allen- avg 14.3 ppg, 7.0 rpg
Noah Mendy- avg 18 ppg
Sean Register - visited 1/17/26
Noah Williams - visited 1/16/26- COMMITTED
Derrick Rivers - Dodge City CC
Ryan Hunt - Eastern Arizona College

2027
Lyris Robinson (2027) - LINK- recent offer from West Virginia
Cooper Zachary (2027)- Fishers HS is still undefeated - LINK
Johnny Lackaff (2027)- has been out with injury much of January
Deuce McDuffie (2027)- Now has an offer from his home state University of Wisconsin - LINK
Brandon Hunter (2027)- visited Iowa, and Creighton - seen in white on the left- LINK -

I would take Allen over him. We need someone you can count on immediately. Getting Register and Allen would give us a chance to win championships because we basically have the talented guards already in place. The question becomes does are NIL have the money to be able to secure these type of players?

There are kids at smaller schools who have the talen to move right in to the MVC (Like Dease, Ian Scott, House,
and even like Stirtz but perhaps not that talented) who are currently getting peanuts for NIL and even MVC-level NIL
would be a huge lure....
Example (and I have brought this name up before) local kid 6-9 Hank Alvey at Lehigh. He has two years left, is averaging
13.4 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 61% FG shooting - which would place him 11th in scoring, 2nd in rebounding, and 5th in FG5 in the MVC.
Based on evidence available, he's probably getting NIL in the range of UNDER $1000! I hafta think he'd consider portalling to BU.

Meanwhile - scoring averages from published reports
Sean Register- 24.7 ppg, 8.8 rpg
Noah Williams- 13.7 ppg, 7.7 rpg
Noah Mendy- 17.7 ppg, 5.2 rpg
Derrick Rivers- 21.8 ppg, 5 rpg
Nazir Allen- 14.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg
Ben Thornbrue- 12.4 ppg, 5.2 rpg
Ryan Hunt- 14.8 ppg, 10.9 rpg
Braylon Roman- 9.1 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 3.2 apg
Race Kowalczyk- 20.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3-pt shooting 40%
Curious if we've offered a certain Class of 2030 kid from Dunlap

I really like Mendy's game from highlights. I think his athleticism and ability to score in the paint would suit him well at BU. What range he has from deep, but his 3-pt. % is only 30%. I also like getting JUCO players.
I honestly haven't looked much at the other prospects other than Allen and Roman. I think we need a 6' 7" dude or taller.
