MVC Coaches longevity

tornado

ranked from longest employed on down...
Brian Wardle is now 4th longest on the job...

Northern Iowa - Jacobson - 13 years
Indiana State - Lansing - 9 years
Loyola - Porter Moser - 9 years (6 years in the MVC)
Illinois State - Muller - 7 years
Bradley - Wardle - 4 years
Valparaiso - Lottich - 3 years (two years in the MVC)
Drake - DeVries - 1 year
Evansville - McCarty - 1 year
Missouri State - Ford - 1 year
SIU - Mullins - 0 years

Also Loyola's Porter Moser has been there for 8 years

Edit: I wonder how this would compare to other conferences and I wonder if Jacobson or another current coach will become like a Boheim or Coach K and coach at the same school for 30 plus years.

Hey guys just wanted to stop in and say hey! Its great you guys are doing so well. Maybe Siu will too now that ol hinson is gone.

Bryan Mullins, the newly hired coach at SIU says he will NOT retain anyone from the former staff of Barry Hinson...
thus Hinson's assistant Anthony Beane is gone - but TWO of the kids set to be on SIU's roster next year are tied to Beane...
His son Darius Beane would be a sophomore and his nephew Jimmy Beane would be a redshirt freshman - so there
is speculation they might leave...

also, now that Barry Hinson is gone from the MVC - all ten MVC head coached played either DI or DII college basketball.
...8 of the 10 head coaches in the MVC played Division I basketball, 2 played at DII.
Five of them played for MVC teams (DeVries, Muller, Moser, Ford, Mullins. Lansing played for DII South Dakota & Jacobson played for DII North Dakota)

Thanks Old Dawg. Hinson was a classy guy, but your team did seem more talented than their finish.
Thanks for stopping in and being a positive poster on a competitors board. That was a classy move!
