He acknowledges that Florida State is a longshot. It's kind of refreshing to see a kid who is so self aware and knows his deficiencies. He's got a good head on his shoulders:

Thanks - we have a thread going over here
I have been a fan of AJ & his dad since AJ was playing junior high ball and his dad was coaching Metamora and I am happy for him!!

Per PJStar;
Youngman returns
Manual senior AJ Youngman will make his season debut on Friday against Richwoods. Youngman has had to sit out because of a back injury. He was one of the three leading scorers on last year's Manual team that finished third at the Class 3A state finals. The other two, Da'Monte Williams and Romon Douglas-Watkins, remain out of the Rams lineup.

his back problems have sufficiently improved (reportedly he had surgery)
and he is cleared to play but I suspect he will play in limited shifts ...
but I like AJ and wish him well...hope he has a great game - he will be one of the go-to guys with both DaMonte Williams and Romon Douglas-Watkins still out.
Douglas-Watkins also is said to be making good progress and may make an effort at coming back, as this is his senior year.

Manual beats Central 82-50 on Tuesday night. I believe Central won the first game by 15 with Youngman sitting out. 45 point swing, his comeback has made quite a big impact on his high school team. Congrats to AJ and the Manual Rams, terrific kid.

Reportedly Charles Payton (17.4 ppg, 8.8 rpg, rated 4-STAR and getting Big Ten interest) chooses now to live with his father in the Olympia school district but he would be ineligible to play for the remainder of the season.
This hurts Bloomington HS as he is their best player on a 20-6 team that was expected to do well in the Regionals.
