Tell us how you feel! 8 years? So you are saying Beucher Sr. and Merf were not good assistants? One retired and an another did not work out and if you do not think DV has not been helping out then you just have an agenda that you should share. So stop the BS and let us know.
...because if TW joins it, this will be BY FAR the best staff we've had in a long, long time.
hmmm...DePaul people and a whole lot of others might be a bit skeptical...
we've gotten some pretty decent players out of the areas that Al Brooks has influence so I don't appreciate the dis on ABIII-
please list the accomplishments of TW at DePaul.........

Who did Alvin Brooks bring to BU? I know of Chris Roberts and AT.
Eddren McCain was because of AB3's connections in Houston (EM's hometown), though I realize Eddren didn't work out at BU.
Milos and Darian Norris were both through AB3's connections in Las Vegas.
And his extensive travel and legwork was responsible for landing many of the other recruits these last couple years. Alvin travelled more than any other coach the last 3 years.

I could tell from his Tweets that he was always on the road. I hope the new guy spends more time in the midwest to get guys that can play and might be more inclined to stick it out.

This is a huge misnomer IMO. I really don't think players from the midwest are more inclined to stay at a school in the midwest (see Mr. Illinois 2008 ). Kid's leave first and foremost because of PT, if they picked a school far away, they knew what they were getting into. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but it's not nearly as prevalent as you make it sound here.

So, over the last 3 years, AB III's direct connections got us:
Eddren McCain
Anthony Thompson
Chris Roberts
Darian Norris
Milos Knezevic
Outside of Roberts, a pretty underwhelming haul...especially considering the time and $$$ that we had to invest in order to follow those kids...
I'd say that list fairly heavily supports the notion that we'd be better served by adding a recruiter that is better connected in the Midwest and that we spend far more of our time and resources recruiting that area than Texas and in the Far West.
That's why I'm hopeful that we could add a guy like Webster to the staff...that would really put us in a much better position to recruit as we go forward, IMO.

Yes, playing time is #1, that goes without saying. But to think that kids are smart enough to know what they are getting into when they pick a school is naive. They all think they're going to play a lot and make a splash.
Just compare the transfers that BU has had and you can see that the majority are not guys from the midwest. Maybe there's a correlation there, I'm just sayin.....

The better programs recruit all over! The top HS kids are playing away from home more and more. Do any of us know who else AB had looking at us down in TX. There's plenty of talent down there. There are a lot of you guys just speculating and if you are going negative wouldn't you want to know the whole picture before going there. AB3 seemed to have loved his job and I bet you the players really liked him. Of course there are those out there who like to roll everything in filth to be happy. You just have to take a stab.

Though I believe AB3 has done a very good job for what he was hired for, I do think it could benefit Bradley greatly to have an assistant with connections and experience recruiting in Illinois, especialy Chicago.
