Presidential executive order re: college sports

Sounds like a step forward in correcting some of the chaos in college sports caused by the NCAA, NIL, transfer portal, immediate eligibility, and innumerable waivers. However, I expect some judge to overrule the order like they always want to do.

I came into a program by accident and Nick Saban spoke about how all of this is a complete mess. Everything that he stated was true about how everything is wrong in letting this go on because it is ruining college sports.

Another example of the executive branch having to address something because Congress is defunct and judges think they get to rule from the bench. At least this is moving the overton window in the correct direction.

Leaving "rogue" and "liberal courts" out of the discussion..
You should go read Brett Kavanaugh’s opinion in the Alston case, which was decided 9-0. He believes that there should be no limit on athlete compensation, and signaled that’s how the court would rule if that question was ever brought to them
If this gets to SCOTUS (it won’t) the court will rule heavily in the athlete’s favor.

Bottom line, the EO is a big nothing burger.

The courts should stay out of this mess because they are at fault in ruining college sports. NIL was suppose to be for name, likeness and image which would compensate athletes for using their name in promoting something instead of pay for play.

Exactly, Supreme Court is going to rule against this very quickly.

While I don't like the current state of college sports, this executive order isn't going to be effective.
