Would love to see South Alabama roll Auburn.
 
The first NIT game pits Liberty against one of the best A-10 teams - George Mason, who are 17-2 on their home court
where this game is being played and who got off to an 18-1 start this season .
Liberty has a kid from Bloomington that Bradley recruited (Zach Cleveland)... and Liberty leads 34-24 at halftime.

The A-10 has six teams in post-season play (2 in NCAA, 4 in NIT) and they are starting 0-1.


btw- George Mason has Nick Ellington, Murray State transfer - he started but was scoreless with zero rebounds.

Auburn came back to win 78-67 thanks to former Drake Bulldog Kevin Overton
who scored 21 points on seven 3-pointers in the 2nd half
 
The Missouri Valley teams did not fare well in the NIT last night. The MVC went 1-3. Illinois State was the only winner

Bradley lost at home to Dayton 80-66- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401858346
Bradley with a poor shooting 1st half, outscored Dayton in the second half, but was not enough. BU loses by 14 at home.

Murray State lost at Nevada 89-75- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401858341
Nevada pulled away in the 2nd half with some hot shooting to win by 14.

UIC lost at California 91-73- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401858347
Cal's Chris Bell had 31 points on 10-12 shooting, 7-8 from three and Cal wins at home by 18.

ISU advances to play at Wake Forest on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 pm. Wake beat Navy 82-72.

The Valley was not great this season which is why with all of our faults we were able to finish 2nd. We were a bad rebounding team and not consistent shooting the ball. Teams below us had some bad losses plus had we split on overtime games it could have been a 6th or 7th place team. To our credit we were the best overtime team in the Valley.
We just need to do a better job as far as getting more athletic players.

Good,isn't McCay the scum coach that had contact with one of our players when Les was coach?I forget the details but Da Coach or someone will remember the details.
 
Ritchie McKay was an assistant at BU. When Coach Mo was let go-McKay moved to New Mexico as the Head Coach and he took Duane Broussard with him as an assistant. They then made illegal contact with Danny Granger and he transferred to New Mexico and had an outstanding career followed by a very good NBA career. The NCAA never did anything to New Mexico.

Duane played 4 years for BU and was on staff with MO for 9 years. Once a Brave always a Brave except for Duane. (I don’t forgive easily)

ISU and Wake Forest traded baskets and with the game tied, Johnny Kinziger nailed a 25 foot shot to put ISU up 78-75 with 1.9 seconds left. ISU has played incredibly well in the final 10 minutes after shooting poorly and trailing most of the game.

Btw, nice to know that in the middle of their biggest moment in the last many years, the ISU fans are reading Bradleyfans instead.
