Bradley (2-3) will play Princeton (3-3) in the first round of the Terry's Chocolate ESPN Events Invitational
The game is Monday, 6:00 pm (Central) on ESPNU and on ESPN+

Princeton is 3-3 so far. They were 19-11 last season, and 8-6 in the Ivy League, good for a tie for 3rd place. They were picked 4th in the 2025-26 preseason Ivy League Poll-
The two teams have met only once in the past, on January 1, 1948. Bradley beat Princeton 64-41 in the Peoria Armory.

One interesting thing I like to look at these days since there are numbers for it is adjusted tempo. We all remember the Pete Carril days at Princeton. But, even after he wasn't there anymore, Princeton still had some of the lowest possession rates in the country. 5-6 games still isn't the best data set, but it's interesting that the adjusted tempo for Princeton is actually higher the Bradley's so far. It doesn't necessarily mean much for the outcome but more just on how the style of the game might be.

Princeton always recruits the Chicago area and always seems to have kids on the roster from Illinois...

This year is no exception as two of their top three players are kids I suspect Bradley looked at in the Chicago area..
Dalen Davis, 6-0 point guard, is their top scorer at 16.5ppg
Jack Stanton, 6-2 sophomore guard, is their 3rd leading scorer (8.8ppg) & leads the team in 3-pt FG made- Stanton did have a Bradley offer- LINK

They do seem a little turnover prone, hopefully we can pressure them and get them to cough the ball up.
They's been averaging 14 TO/game against their DI opponents.

TO prone definitely plays into our favor with how well our guards are creating them.

Where have we seen this before. Take no team for granted. Bradley is not in any way to the point of taking the floor against anyone and expect to win. Last game was a small step to having the team play better, but a long way to go especially the rebounding, and better shooting from the field. Hope Wardle and staff are constantly reminding the team we need to keep practicing hard and get better as each game is played. That being said, let's get a win next game and get on a roll

No doubt. All but one of the ESPN predictors have been that lopsided. And then we lost those games. At some point it's going to catch up with what this team is now, and not the fumes in the tank from last year.

BU has played Princeton just once before, nearly 80 years ago in A. J. Robertson's last season, 1947-48, and the last season before joining the MVC. The game was played in the Armory and BU won. There might be a few people still around who remember this season. I'm not one of them. :ROFLMAO:

....
Notice to anyone that might be expecting this game to be on ESPN+
I think it may NOT BE on ESPN+
It hasn't started yet, so it still could change, but as of now...

The current schedule that ESPN is showing now indicates it is ONLY on ESPNU.
Even if you have an ESPN+ subscription, you still might have to have a TV carrier that has ESPNU on it, as
I am being asked to log on using my home TV carrier's web site to authenticate that I am paying for ESPNU.

Thankfully I know someone who does have it and I am using someone else's "credentials" but this is really a bit
annoying - that ESPN pulls this stuff on people who have already paid for the subscription then takes the streaming off ESPN+.
But does it surprise me at all? No.

Thanks for that info Yoda. I was wondering about that.

$#@&%@ Disney and ESPN. I can't watch this game because they took it off Plus and Sling does not include ESPNU without an extra $15 per month sports package. They do this again and I'll drop ESPN Plus and forget about watching away games.
