Final: San Francisco 75 Bradley 64

I thought AJ was brought in to play the 4. When you have him outside at the 3 shooting 3 pointers how is he suppose to rebound. When Jashon Henry played we used him inside more and really never wanted him to shoot 3 point shots .Thomas and Meta are 5"s and we only need one of them on the floor period. Alex got a lot of good looks last night unfortunately he missed many of them. I would play AJ and Tim at the 4 . The guards will be ok. as long as they learn to take open shots and not just drive recklessly to the basket. The mid range shot is a good one for smaller guys to take in the game.
I may have missed something, but I don't remember ever hearing that AJ was going to play the 4 other than on this board. I believe he has always been a wing/guard in college.

I don't think it was ever stated that he was a "4" or a power forward when he committed to Bradley. But in his junior season at James Madison (2024-25), he lead the team in rebounding with 6.3 rpg as a wing. And before that, he lead University of Southern Indiana in rebounding as a sophomore (2023-24) with 8.8 rpg. Coach Wardle has described him as a very good rebounder from the SF/wing position. But in the first game of the season against St. Bonaventure, the starting lineup was comprised of Meta, AJ, Alex, Burch, and Jaquan. So one might assume that made AJ the "4". But then, each of the next 3 games he was more of a "3", starting along with Meta, Corey, Alex, and Jaquan.

This was because Burch was injured. He can play the 4 in the Valley.

Sad part is both Thomas and Smith hang out at the 3 pt line waiting to shoot 3's..
.pretty hard to win the rebounding battle with Meta(bad hands) and Yu the only players in the paint!🎯🎯🎯👎👎👎
