Bradley gets commitment from Bulgarian point guard Georgi Gerganov

one more thing Georgi posted on his IG
"Wow! I am so happy to see you guys excited about me! ....
Appreciate it a lot! Can’t wait to meet the whole Bradley community in person and get Carver Arena lit "

That's awesome - very rare to see BU student-athletes respond on soc. media with such emotion and more than just a few words!

Georgi's team doesn't play til Thursday, but so far in the two playoff games being played today, the higher seeded
teams, Balkan & Cherno, are winning very easily in the 4th quarter.

Georgi & his team Botev, lost their first Playoff game in a very close game 79-76.
Botev actually led almost the whole game until the 4th quarter.

Georgi had a solid game altho not shooting as well as usual, 18 pts, 8 reb, 4 asst. but Lokomotiv had 6 guys in double figures.
Now, Saturday's game against Lokomotiv is a MUST-WIN in order to stay alive in the playoffs.
Of the 4 series' being played in the first round of the playoffs, the other three first round games were all 20+ point blowouts,
with the higher seed winning easily. This was the only close game, so hopefully Botev can rally for a win Saturday.

I would rather have him here on campus working together with the team.

and I would imagine that he has a contract with his team and might forfeit his salary/stipend if he just leaves.
Their playoff will be over soon, then I suspect he'll be here so he can start getting ready and getting whatever NIL he's eligible for.

He could not officially do that until he enrolls for the summer session, which begins May 20.
Kurt Pegler just interviewed Brian Wardle and Coach Wardle said....
"The new players are expected to be on campus by mid-June.
“They will play in open gyms. It’s a big time to build camaraderie, and as coaches really get a feel for what you have,” Wardle said. “You recruit, you bring players in, you put the pieces together. But you don’t really know until you have them for three or four months.”
