Bradley Cross Country starts season by sweeping men's and women's titles at Illini Open

Bradley Men's and Woman's Cross Country teams competed today in their first event, the Fighting Illini Open.

The final results are nothing short of amazing as Bradley sweeps both the Men's and Women's titles!

The Bradley Women placed 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th, six of whom scored personal bests in the 4K event!
Only one ISU runner and two Illini runners finished in the Top 12.

Of course, the Team scores show the Bradley Women winning the event by a wide margin, Indiana State 2nd and Illini were 3rd.-

In the Men's 6K event, the results are no less amazing,
Bradley runners finished 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 19th., 7 of whom had personal bests. No ISU runner made the Top-12.

I found it interesting that of the 19 women on the cross country squad 13 are from foreign countries. Of the BU top seven in this race 5 were foreign runners. Great recruiting! Of the 18 on the men's squad 7 are foreign runners.
