Bradley baseball

Bradley has started their season 5-5. They were able to add 6 more games to their non conference schedule. After getting shut out in 2 of their first 4 games the offense has come alive as they have averaged a little over 10 runs a game. Pitching wise they gave up just 21 runs in their 1st 7 games but have given up 7, 9 and 11 in their last 3. They played at Mercer today and gave up 9 runs in the first 2 innings but was able to tie it up in the 6th inning. Unfortunately 2 walks and 2 singles led to 2 runs and the loss. They play a doubleheader at Mercer on Saturday then play at Creighton for 3 next weekend before opening their home season on March 30 against SIU-E. Their Valley season opens at Missouri State on April 1 and will play at ISU Blue and Dallas Baptist. At Dozer Park they get Evansville, SIU, Valpo and ISU Red conference games. They will have a 12 game 3 week homestand in April which includes playing Western Illinois. Ryan Vogel leads with a .410 average while Dan Bolt leads with 4 homers and 12 RBI's. In 14 innings pitched Jed Moscot has not given up a run
 
Braves secure a first round tournament bye with their win over ISU today. (The top 4 teams get a bye and the bottom 4 have to play in.)

Tomorrow's season finale could determine whether BU finishes 3rd or 4th, but either way they play in the 3-4 game at 7 pm Wednesday.

Valley still alive — DBU plays Virginia at 11 am on ESPN2 to qualify for the College World Series. If they lose they get a second chance tomorrow.
