Alec Peters (Washington HS) who is a freshman at Valpo had his first collegiate game Saturday vs Hillsdale College (D2).

Alec Peters started at the SF alongside 4 seniors. His stats for the game:
17pts (5-10FG, 3-4 from 3, 4-6FT) 6 rebs, 2blks, 2asts, 0 To's.

Good to see local guys having success. Only first game hope he has more success in the future.

In fact, the news story credits Peters for taking over in the 2nd half when Valpo was down five and rallying them with a 13-point run!!!

Transfer Keith Carter from Saint Louis isn't eligible until 2nd semester (Dec. 21) but did play a bit in an open practice/scrimmage a week ago

Obviously has to earn it, but every indication I've seen is YES. But he is probably on a shorter leash then other guys on the roster at that position because he is a freshman. I think he will start though. Too competitive & skilled to keep off the floor!
