Bradley women accept bid to play in the Women's NIT

Information about and list of the 48-team field for the WNIT.
Bracket and further details will be released Monday-

For the record, the WNIT is not run by the NCAA. It is operated by a private organization, Triple Crown Sports, based in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Bradley women travel to Washington DC to play GW at 6 pm Thursday.

Good for them! George Washington was 15-17 overall and 7-11 in the A-10, and tied for 9th place. They are 11-5 at home.
Their NET is 172, compared to Bradley's NET of 159. It's definitely a winnable game for the BU women.

Too bad they have to travel so far. One difference with the WNIT is that it is a "pay to play" tournament.
Unlike the NCAA Tournament or the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT- run by the NCAA), schools participating in the WNIT must pay to host games and cover their own travel costs.
Financial details of the WNIT include:
  • Hosting Fees: Teams pay a guarantee to host games, which can be around $5,000–$7,000 for the first round and up to $10,000–$15,000 or more for later rounds.
  • Travel Costs: Participating schools are responsible for covering travel expenses.
  • For-Profit Structure: The WNIT is operated by Triple Crown Sports, not the NCAA.
  • Budgeting: While it is a pay-to-play model, the WNIT often helps to set maximum costs for travel to make it more affordable for institutions.
The 2026 WNIT tournament runs from March 18 to April 5, with games broadcast on the ESPN family of networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News) and streamed on ESPN+. The 2025 WNIT Championship is set for Saturday, April 5, at 3 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.

  • Broadcast Channels: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News, and ESPN+
  • Championship Date: April 5, 2025 (3 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network)
So far, the WNIT website does not have any TV information for the Bradley-George Washington game or for any of their first round games
