When will we know if he can play this year?As of last week his records has not passed the NCAA clearing house?Will we know before school starts or not?

yea. i don't think he lives too far from me. why wouldn't he play? are you talking about just the first semester? thought he was already taking summer classes.
 
I don't know anything, but just guessing here... the NCAA (with all the Diploma Mills) are diligently checking records on incoming players.

Not to slight XC. I am sure JL has recruited a fine young man with suitable credentials.

But maybe a student can't get by with XBox 101 and GameCube 200 anymore.

This kind of inspection will 'trickle up' to the majors.

Or not.
 
Considering our luck with the NCAA Clearinghouse (Dan Ruffin a few years back), I wouldn't count on Xavier being cleared to play this year. Hopefully I am wrong, but I am preparing for yet another blow to this year's prospects.

maybe one thing will go our way when it comes to ncaa rulings.
would like to have x playing this season.

Has anyone seen XC since school started? I know he was around this summer, but haven't heard if anyone has seen him in class/on campus since then.

He was not part of the festivities last night at the Chiefs game, nor was his name even mentioned.

It appears that XC has neither been seen on campus nor was he mentioned as part of the basketball team last night. If I had to draw a conclusion based on this data, plus the rumors flying around campus, my conclusion would not be very positive.... :cry:

Is that confirmed that he isn't even on campus anymore? He was on campus this summer. He is still listed on the roster on the website. I wonder at what point they found out he couldn't play (if indeed he can't). There has been no formal announcement.

Man, this kid is a mystery. I may be reverting back to my original contention that he never really existed.

Well, looks like we'll have another scholarship for next year. :cry:
