WVU - Duke

I have felt that this is Duke's most well-constructed team in a very long time. I have seen them in person and they are HUGE - Zoubeck, the Plumlees, Singler. They have a good PG, great shooters, size, and play unbelievable defense...... I think they will win it all.
 
Duke will probably slow this game up to make it a 1/2 court game. They are moving the ball real well. I wonder when WVU will try their zone D.
 
Do you think the refs could call a few more moving screens against Duke. I give it that the refs are letting them play!

Well that would set up a very interesting final on Monday night. The mid-major versus the Hall of Fame coach who has been in a "drought" for several years. That will be interesting, but of course I will root for Butler no matter who they play.
 
Does anyone else think that Duke is going to be awfully tough Monday night. And Butler might have been a bit lucky tonight that Michigan State played so poorly. Yes, I know Butler's defense had something to do with how terrible MSU looked, but a lot of it was just a bad game by MSU.

I think Butler could get blown out by this Duke team.

I think that could happen too. But I'm proud Butler got this far and they represented the "mid-majors" very well. It wouldn't surprise me both ways, but at the moment Duke probably has the edge.

I feel the same way but I really hope they don't get blown out. It would be great to have an awesome showing by a mid-major against a team like Duke in the National Championship game.
 
Butler played their worst offensive game of the Tourney and I bet they shoot a ton better against Duke. Duke played their best game of the year and the question can they carry that over. I also hope the refs call those moving screens on Monday. I like Butler's chances if they can get points in the paint and get to the line consistently.

Yeah, Butler would have won relatively easily had a couple of 3's fell and they made a couple of bunny layups that they missed. Their FT shooting was the worst they had in quite awhile as well.

But Duke will still be tough even if Butler is at the top of their game. Still with the way Butler plays defense, they have a shot. That's why they play the games. :)

What, I thought this was NOT a good game by Butler:!: Way to many missed easy ones and went a couple lone stretches with little or no scoring:!: Thank God Hayward showed up because there was not much from the rest:!:
 
That's exactly my point. Butler played poorly, yet they won. Why? Could it have had something to do with the poor shooting and poor free throw shooting by Michigan State?
I don't think they will be so fortunate against Duke.

On the other hand, maybe Butler got it out of their system. Luck and percentage swing back and forth, if you believe in such a thing.

It will be senior vs. underclassman.
