World Series Ratings

Fox took a hit again this season, as the ratings were bad and the series goes only four games so some of the presold ad time will be lost.
Not a whole lot of interest outside of Boston where the games went past 1AM and Colorado, and in some geographical areas, the ratings didn't even beat many of the cable reruns.

Here is one story that's even titled
"The Red Sox have taken the suspense out of sport, the fun out of baseball and worse the interest out of the World Series."

And another story detailing the ratings are down even from last year's record low in the series between St. Louis and Detroit.

It's not like this wasn't forseeable. The only way the ratings would have been good were if the Cubbies had made it or some other team from California. Fox should be able to predict this stuff by now, considering that Arizona couldn't even sell out their NLCS games, I expected a sweep and mainly Boston fans watching. The ratings would have been even lower if Cleveland had gone to the series. If the Network stations want high ratings, they have to have an east and west coast team in the WS that have a lot of tradition and huge fan bases.
