Where is our home-court advantage?

I went to BU from 97-01, and while I don't have the stats in front of me, I can't remember losing so many winnable games at home.

This was a CU team who hasn't won more than two in a row all season, who lost a Preseason All-MVC performer (however bad he was playing) and who was 1-8 on the road coming in.

We seemed to have momentum before tonight, and completely let the air out of the balloon.

It was like watching a DePaul game -- down big early, and never able to recover. I know the second half was close, but I'm disgusted with the play down the stretch.

Why didn't Sammy draw the foul on the perimeter when he had the defender in the air? That's three free throws, when we are down three.

Why do we look like we are out of control on offense half the time, and lethargic the other half?

Why can't anyone hit the front end of a 1-and-1 in the final six minutes?

I'm sorry guys... the last four games had me thinking that this team could compete with the rest of the league. I now believe we are what we have been for the last eight years... a fourth-place or worse Valley team.

How about where are the in game defensive adjustments? 12 3's???!!! Abyss now seriosly back in play with yet another home loss and likely 5-6 coming sat in normal. Braves will need win to gain lone tiebreaker over likely thursday bound drake, otherwise the braves will likely be in their place as Drake already holds all other tiebreakers. very disappointing game planning and opening energy, not to mention 2-17 in YOUR OWN GYM to start the game.

What's the excuse tonight? No McCain? Weather? Crowd's fault? Everything's fine though. At least one more year of this, and if next year is a successful one, then what? Another 3-4 years of mediocre basketball?

Can we get a comparison of the previous 8 years' home records versus the last 8 years home records? Just curious at what those numbers look like.

BU has to be one of the most frustrating teams to root for. They are up and down more than a merry go round. It is one thing to play well and get beat, another to get beat in a winable game by playing poorly.

Every time over the past several years when BU gets it going, I get so excited. Then presto, they turn into Evansville...Mediocrity...That is the perfect label for this program as others have said. Stuck in the sand with one wheel spinning.

Right in the thick of the Valley race, putting a great run together, playing at home vs a team depleted of talent.

What's worse is seeing CU at 6-4 ahead of BU with no good reason to be there except perhaps recruiting better players, who play better, for a coach that appears to be better, than BU.

PS, I don't want to hear about the officiating either. Good teams win games inspite of officiating.

 ALWAYS EXCUSES. I'm with you...so frustrating.

Well you will hear from me AZ. The reffs were just horrendous and I'm sure someone will see to it an mention all the terrible calls. It was a wonder we were in the game. That charging call on JE had to be the worse call I have ever seen in college ball. The 1st 1/2 WE foul was horrendous no contact. That took him out large minutes and if that did not hurt us then I guess I have no idea about bball. Please MVC reffs are terrible and I've said it before and it is still true.

I counted only 2 really bad calls... It all comes down to coaching. Once again, we were out coached at the half.

Winners win, and losers complain about the officiating. Officials don't cost teams games.

I guess bad officiating gives BU a pass on anything like maybe 4 points in the first 4.5 minutes of the game, missed FT's, missed chuck a 3's, 7 points from the bench vs 27 for CU, 37% BU shooting, 25% BU 3pt shooting. At home, on a big winning streak, vs a team missing their best player etc.

This is a game where they should have buried CU and got behind big in the FH and then couldn't get a lead ONCE any time during this game.

PS CU committed 19 fouls vs BU 15....just sayin

9200 fans? Is anyone in the BU Administration paying attention?

Then I'm not sure you watched the same game. There were at least 5 completely awful calls. But yeah, Dana outcoached Jim tonight, I won't argue there.

well i dont think even the most biased bu fan will ever say that jl is a better coach than dana, except maybe tornado.
