Western Illinois wins 3rd straight!

Way to go Coach Mo! The late season surge of the Leathernecks in Mo's 2nd year there reminds me of the late season surge BU had back in '93 in Mo's 2nd year on the Hilltop. BU surged late in that season and took league champ SIU to the brink down in St. Louis. The next year we won 20+ games, contended for a league title, and were 1 game away from MSG in the NIT. I think WIU could be on a similar ascension, Mo knows how to build programs from the ground up. They're 12-14 on the season now. Way to go Coach Mo!

Nice going Mo- WIU is now 12-14- But their wins have been over mostly bad teams. The win over Oral Roberts stands out:
Team beaten.............RPI
Truman State............Division 2
Central Arkansas........320
Greenville..................Division 3
Culver Stockton.........NAIA
Central Arkansas........320 (again)
Savannah State.........312
Centenary.................301
Southern Utah...........325
No. Carolina Central....343
Oral Roberts..............139
Centenary.................301
Southern Utah...........325

but 12 wins, regardless of who, is still the most wins WIU has had in any season going back to 1998-1999.

It's all relative, but I am glad that it looks like he is getting things turned around over there. It would sure make for a great story if he could turn them into a winner.

Once he gets a few more of his recruits in there I am sure he will do fine in that conference. It would be pretty cool if he could get some good teams put together there.
