Valley Recruits

Here are the 17 players who were part of this lawsuit that were granted a temporary injunction today, thus making them eligible for an extra season. They can either return to their previous school or enter the transfer portal.-

At least one was a former Bradley recruit who was offered in 2024 (point guard Brody Robinson). And a couple were former MVC players (Cameron Fens at UIC and N.J. Benson at Missouri State).

It now appears that another court injunction will make all college athletes who began their college (or juco) careers in 2022-23 eligible for a 5th year. If true, that means Ahmet Jonovic, Corey Thomas, and A.J. Smith would qualify for another year, along with thousands of athletes in all sports. It is pretty impressive to add a Big East caliber starter, 5th year senior, and double-digit scorer this late in the recruiting cycle. He averaged 3.8 assists per game, which is more than anyone on Bradley averaged last season. And in the 3 seasons he played at a mid-major level, he shot 39.2% from three.

I think adding this kid puts ISU in the running for the top of the league.
don't doubt he's a good pickup this late in the recruiting cycle, but Xavier was bad this year- 4-17 vs Quad 1 & 2..
And he's a high volume shooter (31.8% on 3-pointers), played lots of minutes- who averaged 13.1 points/40 minutes (almost identical to AJ Smith
and Ahmet Jonovic, and minimally more than van der Knaap or Corey Thomas, and way less than Demarion Burch's 15.1 pts/40 min)
Time will tell, but I am more impressed by his assists & A/T Ratio than his shooting or scoring numbers, but is he going to play point guard
or is that Kinziger's spot?

Here are the 17 players who were part of this lawsuit that were granted a temporary injunction today,...Cameron Fens (UIC, South Dakota)...

Cameron Fens, who spent a couple years at UIC then went to South Dakota - just committed to NORTH CAROLINA
I wonder who the last former MVC player was that transferred to UNC?

Cade Tyson 2 years ago
North Carolina was desperate for a big man. They lost all their big men and had no returning or incoming centers on their roster.
Fens is nowhere near as talented as Cade Tyson, and recall that Tyson averaged under 8 minutes per game, 2.6 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 29% from three in his only season at North Carolina.

Indiana State picks up a late 2026 commit who had several low DI offers and was comptemplating prep school (was headed to IMG Academy).
One source said a roster spot at Indiana State "suddenly opened up". (reportedly Greyson Priztl is not coming to InSU) He is their 6th high school commit, so the Sycamores will have very little DI experience.

DeShawn Denson
6-3 guard from Midwest City (OK) High School (enrollment a little smaller than Dunlap HS)

Belmont lands a 2026 transfer from SIUE- Ring Malith, who averaged 17.0 PPG, 5.4 RPG and 1.5 APG last season before an injury cut his season short. He is tentatively eligible for a 5th year pending the outcome of the appeal of the Colorado judge's injunction. He was SIUE's leading scorer in PPG, and their 2nd leading rebounder. He is a 6'9"athletic wing that handles the ball well and is pretty good at creating his own shots.
Prior to his 2 seasons at SIUE, he spent 2 years at Barton Community College where he helped lead them to the NJCAA Championship in 2023-24, averaging 12.2 ppg.
