Valley Has 5 of Nation's Best Shooters

Ethan Wragge, Doug McDermott, Colt Ryan, Ben Simons and Tyler Brown listed as some of the Best Shooters in College Basketball...

I would venture to say that Wragge is 4th or 5th in the Valley. I would put them in this order:

1) Ryan
2) Brown
2) Simons
4) Wragge
5) McDermott
6) Egolf (whoops! How'd HE get in here!)

There are some real sharp-shooters in the Valley this year - you might even add Sonnen (UNI) as a threat as much as the other guys.

..6) Egolf (whoops! How'd HE get in here!)...

indeed LOL -- I am not so sure WE is gonna lead the league in 3-pt shooting -- I hope so but I am not gonna make that call yet...
..after all his all time career stats in 3-pt shooting are 0-for-16...

I recall when Michael Rembert was a freshman - he hit a couple in a preseason game then hit his first in the regular season and proceeded to hit several more finishing his frosh year at BU with 7-for-19...
There were people lauding this accomplishment and saying he's a great 3-pt shooter, although I thought the sample was too small to draw that conclusion...

Anyway he hit exactly ZERO his sophomore year and after transferring to SEMO - he proceeded to launch more - hitting at only a paltry 31% clip - so in the end - just maybe he'd have been better off playing the big-man-role - ;-)

Hey - I'm really hoping he was shooting a ton of 3s while rehabbing and has been able to find something special. We have not had any player really suprise us the last few years in a positive way so it may be our time now. I still want to know what Coach Ford's thoughts are on this. I guess we'll find out a bit more on the 3rd.

Yesterday I was playing some hoops and the big from the other team could hit the 3 pretty well. It really made the difference for them. It opened up the middle and our big had a tough time making the adjustment defensively of stopping him. I say bombs away!
