Entering Monday's games, Valley record is 22-13 - 14th best in Conference Ranking


Georgia vs. Illinois State 12:30 p.m. in Cayman Islands

Old Dominion vs. UNI 2:00 pm Virgin Islands

Richmond vs. Loyola 5:30 P.M. in Fort Myers, Fla.

Nebraska vs. Missouri State 6:00 p.m. in Kansas City, Mo.

Howard at Southern Illinois 7 p.m.
 
Maybe this is not a good year for the MVC....

Illinois State is getting absolutely schooled by Georgia -
At half it's Georgia 47 - ISU 26
Holy cow - this is a team that plenty of people pointed to as the best team in the Valley, as capable of making a deep run in the post-season, as a Top-50 team.
Yarbrough is 5-9 and has 14 pts but their entire starting lineup has zero assists and the entire team besides Yarbrough are 4-18 shooting

ISU is starting to make a run but they have a long way to go...

Tm Crean has some players including former Bradley recruit Jojo Toppin- he will make them relevant altho right now they are kinda wild & undisciplined
 
Fayne fouls out with about 12 min to go - they are in deep trouble
altho Fayne was completely ineffective had only 3 pts 1 rebound

ISU making a run and Georgia doing their best to chuck some wild shots & help ISU out..
Yarbrough has 20 but on 18 shots & he has 6 turnovers, Tinsley's hit 3 treys in a row - lots of 1-on-1 play
 
this kind of a game against a team with such a big front line will help them...
..but they really missed Fayne

Old Dominion really lucky to be this close - they are shooting extremely poorly (31% overall 12.5% from 3-pt)
..while UNI is hitting 46% from 3-pt (6-13)
 
ISU will play Akron tomorrow and not Clemson, as Clemson beat Akron 72-69

Akron has former Bradley recruit Loren Jackson, Jr....son of Walt Lemon's former high school coach at Chicago Julian...
Jackson scored 25 points today, hit 5-12 from the arc and single-handedly kept Akron in the game

I can't find any pictures but most of the chatter on Twitter is about how ugly Missouri State's alternate jerseys are
...apparently they have yellow in the color scheme??

They are maroon with yellow-gold horizontal bands and multiple stripes. I do not find them appealing.

Loyola plays a strong 2nd half and wins...Missouri State loses to Nebraska
so now the Valley is 2-2

but Howard is beating SIU currently...36-27
