Top 25 teams downed week of Feb. 11th

For Monday Feb. 11th...

-Battle of power houses, #11 TX hands #3 KS a 2nd loss.

That now leaves Drake with the 3rd best record in Div. 1 behind Duke and Memphis, real time RPI of 8 and only ranked 15th. How big does that Butler/Drake game look in a couple weeks.

For Tues. the 12th...

-Another battle of powerhouses, #19 Purdue takes down #10 MI State for its 3rd straight top 15 win. Purdue is lookin dangerous for a post season run in the big dance.

For Wed. the 13th...

-#17 UConn gives #20 Notre Dame a 2-3 record against the top 25.

-#15 Wisconsin takes down #13 Indiana, giving them an 0-2 record against top 25 and its 3rd loss after going 17-1.

-Southern IL continues its erratic play by ending #14 Drake's 21 game winning streak.

-Bobby Knights old team Tx Tech takes down #18 Kansas State.

-So far this week we have a #3, 10, 13, 14, 18 and 20 ranked teams losing. If Drake wins Saturday, I think they will only slide down 3-4 spots if that. That Butler game will probably decide there permanent spot in the rankings for the rest of the season.

-AZ State looks to get back into the top 25 by taking down #7 Stanford in OT.

-Marquette looks to get back into the top 25 by taken down #22 Pittsburgh.

-Syracuse gives #8 Georgetown its 2nd loss in 3 games after going 19-2.
-OK State knocks down #16 TX A&M
-#13 IN ends its slump in slaughtering #10 MI State

-#24 Vanderbilt by 3 points over Florida
-#4 TN by 3 points over Georgia
-#7 Stanford by a point over AZ
-#1 Memphis by a point over UAB

Honorable mention...

-Drake wins the MVC season championship for first time in 37 yrs.
