Bradley softball coach Amy Hayes and the Braves will welcome three freshmen to the squad in 2013, with pitcher/outfielder Amanda Barna (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg), utility player Kendall Duffy (Naperville, Ill./Benet Academy) and catcher Kathryn Spenn (Williamsville, Ill./Williamsville) each signing National Letters of Intent to attend Bradley during the fall signing period.

It's nice to see Coach Hayes landing some quality players. But I noticed none are from central Illinois.
I checked the roster, and we have only 1 player on the roster from the Peoria area. We have as many Canadian players as we have from the Peoria area. So I am wondering, aren't there any good softball players in this area? What happened to softball among the local high schools?
