This year

We lose a game because we were outmanned and the negative comments begin, I knew the 3rd game in a row was probably going to be a loss just because you cannot have 5 players play so many minutes, this is going to be a good team and it will be a great one if we can stay healthy.

I thought the consensus was that between Sam M., Eddren, Dodie, and Dyricus, we were pretty well set at PG?
I don't know how Eddren's injury will affect him, but he has 3 months to recover now.

I'm not worried about our guards at all. The 5 spot yes... but not the guards

The 3, 4 & 5 spots all worry me. Also, the 1 & 2 worry me because of defense (other teams shooting over their shortness). The 3 worries me because it will probably be played by a 1 or a 2. The 4 worries me because it will probably be played by a 2. The 5 worries me the least because I know Les is at least smart enough to play at least one big guy...

I'm not worried about a loss to a Brazil pro team, considering almost half of our minutes are coming from walk ons LOL. This is some great game experience and video to bring back for the freshmen to look at and identify ways they can help eliminate team flaws.

Hopefully we hear 1 more good report for Thompson today and then he can hopefully play 5-10 minutes a game this season.

Not worried about any spot....

"What me worry?"

Guards are deep so we can go 3 guard lineup....
the 4 is TB and will be backed up fine by our youngsters...

The 5 is the only spot that has any ?????? in my humble opinion.......

Sam and Will need to be healthy...otherwise we play very young at the 5 with JP...

3 guards with TB and JP is a pretty good lineup..or

..maybe AT can contribute.....

Fixed.

Just my opinion, and nothing personal, but the three guard lineup is what scares me. We get killed on the boards and defense with 3 guards. We may be ok if you are counting a healthy Warren as one of the guards because he has size, but if not, we will be awfully small... My freshman college intramural team was bigger (not as talented obviously, but we were pretty good as 2 guys walked on the next 3 years and I would have had it not been for a torn ACL) with the exception of the 5 spot.

The three guard line-up has gotten us nowhere. I am waiting for next year when we have more bigs and our current ones are more experienced. Then BU will break out of the pack. Sorry, but this year just seems like a warmup for next year... Which is ok, as I will go to the games, support the team by yelling, etc., this year just as I have for what it seems like decades and hoepfully they will surprise me.

I've had these exact thoughts. If they surprise me then they surprise me but I'm expecting a 5th place finish and wouldn't really be too terribly upset by it. I see potential to be better, but Bradley for some reason or another in recent years hasn't exactly overachieved; usually due to key injuries.

When A.Warren starts playing again it should move Maniscalco back to the point guard position along with McCain plus Dunson could play it if needed, Prosser will see minutes at the center position and hopefully Egolf will get healthy and contribute , the way T.Brown and C.Roberts are playing I would think that they will be starting and seeing a lot of minutes, Edwards, Milos and Eastman will have a harder time getting on the floor because of the experience in front of them. Hopefully A.Thompson has become more determined to play and can also contribute this season. This team has size, quickness , some very good defensive players , like I said previously we only need to stay healthy in order to have a very good year.

some time during Friday's game, and nothing was said as to how, but I suspect contact similar to how Andrew Warren hurt his hand and Trevor Trimpe's injury.

According to one post over on the isu board, "Seems like Bradley is banking on Warren and Egolf (both returning from very serious injury) to be starters and arguably their 2 best players."

I didn't see where anything was quoted as to why it "seems" this way, but I've yet to see anyone here make such a statement. Possibly on the less-informed VT site or maybe another school site, but not here. Just wondering if I missed something.

sg-- some know the potential Will and AW have but at this point we can only hope they'll be 100%
Frankly, we have had injury problems each of the past several years with Warren, Egolf, Singh, Ruff, Crouch, etc.....surprising we have done as well as we have with so many post-season appearances and wins.

I'm well aware of the potential, but I don't recall seeing anyone here say Warren and Egolf are going to be our best two players this season. As I said, there was no quote or even a reference to where that idea came from. Just wondering if someone here felt that way?
