I want to step up and say a big thanks to bradleyfans.com for being the ones that outed the truth on this case.
Much of the falsehood was debunked and the posting of the facts has forced the local media to follow suit with whats true and not just what has been slandered.
Thanks for those with guts who spoke up with facts and boos to those who jumped on the bandwagon slurs ruining Ruffins character.
Some of you should be ashamed and the tabloids we have should apologize, and many people on other boards should give it up.

It is great that more information is coming out. That's all anyone could ask for. I don't know that we forced this issue, but it certainly got the word out to the fans quicker. Thanks for the compliment, Illi

There are a lot of rumors out there, and I hope we can still avoid bringing up unsubstiantiated rumors, but I believe we will hear much more news about this matter in the next few days.

Here's hoping Bradley can still make some waves in the tournament, and that Daniel is cleared and can get back to what he loves to do, play basketball.

Opps, I guess that sounds like I am one of those red-sweater fanatics. :p

I wore a red sweater last night, but JMoney....you just had a t-shirt on so Luciano definitely wasn't talking about you.
When you graduate and start raking in the income, you can afford a sweater.

I nominate "DC" as the first president of the "Red Sweater Fanatic Club!"

And I will be the first member. :)

Here is an article that people who wear red sweaters should be avoided--

Ironic that the picture that goes with the article looks a lot like Phil Luciano! (p.s.-this is not meant as an insult, I really think it looks like PL):D

Wait, wait, wait. What truth was outed here? Everything that was reported here was already reported elsewhere, wasn't it? Am I missing something?

I won't even be able to afford clothes after I graduate and stop getting the student section shirt that comes with the season tickets. I was actually planning on asking Luciano if he had any extra red sweaters laying around.....

The people of BradleyFans can pride themselves for outting lots of things that take days to show up elsewhere.
I don't know if that's what Illi was saying but I can show you tons of examples, and I am a bit astounded you haven't seen them almost on a daily basis.

Then Bradleyfans is certainly not the one that deserves credit for "outing the truth" IMO. Passing along things on a message board that were already publicly reported is not journalism. For you to even question whether this is comparable to Woodward and Bernstein (tongue in cheek or not) is terrible. Woodward and Bernstein UNCOVERED facts, not pass them along.

Yes, a big thanks from me as well!

Having read the message boards from our in-state rivals in Carbondale and Normal, I must say I was appalled at the rubbish some of their posters wrote! This is not an indictment to all of their posters as there were many voices of reason on those sites. But there were quite of few people with the intention to damage the reputation of Ruffin and Bradley in general, versus some on this board (myself included) who out of anger or emotion may have inadvertently stepped over the line a bit, though not with any bad intentions.

I will say though that most on the Creighton message board posted with class and reserved judgement. Most posters on the Valleytalk board have been civil as well, though I'm not sure if some questionable posts were removed there too. All in all it makes us lucky that we have a board that allows us to conduct a civil discussion of issues like this one.

While I am not sure if the "sophmoric banter" of the few on some of the boards is an indication of the majority...it is certainly often tolerated if not encouraged.

We debate heavily here from time to time, but there IMO is always a degree of decorum you don't see on "other" boards.

I enjoy and appreciate that.

IheartBU, what happened to those classic Village People pics?

Scouter, do you mean the ones with college-aged PL oiled up, sporting a very un-PC Native American costume?

That's totally what I went looking for in the first place. Sadly, this will have to suffice...
