Taylor Brown

Yes. An appeal can be sent to the NCAA after his eligibility is completed to request an extra year. Such appears are considered on a case-by-case basis. Sam Singh did it. The NCAA does not often grant such requests.

I'd like to think that logic dictates this as a great example of the waiver... But then I remember this is the NCAA and it's never logic that dictates results...

If I'm BU, though, I feel like I have a strong case. You keep out a top player due to a potential condition that was recognized because BU found a potentially similar condition in another athlete too late. I feel the passing of the baseball player shows that BU was legitimately doing the testing and not just trying to "get another year" (which I could see someone trying to get away with). Let's hope for the best with that.

Do we know when we can apply for the waiver? If I recall, Singh had his decision by senior night?

I believe if Taylor wants to play another season that under his circumstances he would be granted an extra season, I wish he would consider staying another year as it could be very beneficial to him and BU.

The players are all home or on vacation. They will not be back on campus until about 2 weeks from now. I think we may not hear anything official until then.

Actually, the fact that today there is a scheduled "meeting among Bradley head coach Geno Ford and BU medical personnel" suggests that there is some new development. As we have reported, there were still tests that had not returned, and I think they now all have. The final decision about clearance and activity restrictions hasn't been made yet.

summary: the latest news on TB is that there is no news

C'mon T, give 'em some credit. :-D I appreciate that story over nothing at all. And while the bigger news in the article is scheduling, I'm glad something is being printed.

Now if they instituted a weekly feature (Sundays??) profiling each player, that would be great. I'd love one per player... And coach. That gives them an article a week that could give the average reader a great glimpse into a players' personality.
