He was a joy to watch this year...I really think he ran the offense better toward the end of the year than Ruffin did. He doesn't have the drive-and-dish ability that Ruff did, but he was much more of a stabilizing factor, was better at getting everyone else involved, and didn't force things as much. I'm really looking forward to seeing him develop further over the next 3 seasons...Was just scrolling thru final season official NCAA stats (because tomorrow is Monday and I don't feel like dealing with that) and noticed that, as a FROSH, Sammy ranks #50 among ALL D-I players in assist-to-turnover ratio. Wow! That bodes very well for the future . . .
Sam had an excellent year for a true freshman PG. He was third on the team in minutes, shot 37% from three, and took good care of the ball. I think Maniscalco, Warren, and Wilson might be the best trio in the Valley for next season. Getting the players around them to step up will determine if Bradley is merely good or very good.
I agree. I also think it's fair to pencil in Dodie Dunson as a significant contributor as well (based on his contributions as a freshman at Iowa St). The season will really hinge on what Collins, Thompson, Egolf, Austin, and Singh can give us inside.
