A name to remember, and for those BU fans older than me, a name from the past.

Tim Bankston

Tim played at Bradley in the early '80's on the same teams with Voise Winters, Donald Powell, etc.

Tim is now the head coach at T. F. North High School in Calumet City, a school with very little basketball tradition until now. But Tim has built a winner.

Last season he had two legit D-I players in Demond Watt and Lawrence Redmond, both of whom return in 2006-2007, and he has picked up a fine PG transfer in Donald Pritchard.
They just completed the Loyola Shootout as co-champs, and have been rumored to even be picking up more players in transfer as well.

Nice to see a BU alum doing well as a high school coach, and I hope Jim Les stays in touch!

I don't know how you might define a BU alum (most define it as a graduate of a school), BUB. Tim Bankston was one of the super recruiting class of 1984 that included Bankston, Hersey Hawkins, Jerry Thomas, Greg Jones, Donald Powell, Jerome Childs, Trevor Trimpe, and Len Bertolini.
However, Bankston played only 1 year for Dick Versace and Bradley. He transferred to Loyola (Chicago) and played out his career there. I assume he graduated from Loyola.

It's like when people claim that Kerby Puckett is a BU Alum. He was here for like a semester then left. :)
