Practice video

https://sports.yahoo.com/why-bradley-basketball-team-looked-092856187.html

Some highlights from the article talking about this practice!

"Malevy Leons says he put on 10 pounds and feels stronger than he did last season. ..... increased his vertical leap by 5 inches."

"7-foot-1, 260-pound center Ahmet Jonovic lowered his body fat by 4% and increased his vertical leap"

"Shooting guard Connor Hickman — who now looks like he's cut from stone — recorded five test results that matched or surpassed now-graduated forward Ja'Shon Henry, who was perhaps the strongest player in the Valley."

Wow I get fired up watching that video DC! Coach Wardle is the right guy for the Braves. I really hope we gel as it appears. The hype and hope is high on the Hilltop - let's stay focused and ride on to another Valley title!
I mean, why NOT us...AGAIN!!?? :)

I think Ellis might eventually get some starts because of his defense. And he will also get playing time because there will be games that we'll see starters get into foul trouble. But I think there might be other players ahead of him in the rotation.

Yeah, I'm not sure you can start Deen, Hickman and Ellis against most teams, but I don't have a lot of faith in our big men outside of Leons and Hannah. Hopefully someone steps up and stands out among Thomas, Davis, Biliew, Linke and Jonovic. Otherwise I'd say let's role with Deen, Hickman, Ellis, Leons and Hannah. Ellis is 6'5 after all and not much shorter than Davis.

I cannot see three big men starting because we would have a hard time guarding the perimeter. Teams would bury us from the 3 and two of those starters are centers. I do think Ellis is the other starter.

I’m sure it will depend on matchups. For instance even if Darius has added a fair amount of muscle I can’t see him guarding Brodie for long periods. Bruiser would beat him up.

not saying we will, but there were several games last year that Bradley started all three of their biggest players, Mast, Hannah & Leons

This may be necessary again against certain teams and lineups, particularly a team like Drake with Brodie. I have no doubt the staff will tailor and tweak the starting lineup against certain teams.

This was because Leons could stretch the floor pretty well, not because we actually needed 3 bigs on the floor at once imo.
