With a week left in the regular season I think it's time to look at some awards. POY is a 3 man race between SIU's Xavier Johnson, who leads the Mo Valley in scoring at 22.38 points a game, in assists at 6.21 a game and in FT percentage at 90%, Tucker Devries of Drake, who is 2nd in scoring at 21.04 points per game, is 8th in rebounding and 13th in assists, and Robbie Avila of Indiana St, who is 8th in scoring, 5th in rebounding and 9th in assists. Other contenders for the First team should be Isaiah Swope of ISU Blue, Malik Dia of Belmont. and Duke Dean and Malevy Leons from BU. For Defensive POY Mal is certainly a contender along with Avilia and Jason Kent of ISU Blue, DeVries and Darnell Brodie of Drake. Coach of the Year will probably be ISU Blue's Josh Schertz though Bryan Mullins of SIU could sneak in there if they win out. Kent should run away with the most improved award.

I think Duke has made a case for 1st team and Malevy should repeat as Def. POY.
No doubt that the Indy St. HC should get the Coach of Year Award.
