Something we can all agree on! Ding dong the Bas$^rd is dead!
I do not take death lightly and I'm against the death penalty but this is a huge win!
I was singing that same "Ding dong" tune when I heard this too!
And I know God has a special place reserved for this bum, somewhere where he will need a lot of ice, if you know what I mean!

We need to go into isolationism. It's good he's dead, obviously, but it's hard to be too happy when you know the reaction is that you've made groups very unhappy and likely just recruited more people into US designated terrorists groups. It's a dog chasing its tail and we got sucked into the game...when's it going to end...

Like most Islamic tyrants -- bin Laden -- similar to other scumbags -- all claim to be fighting for the people and sacrificing everything!
BUT -- in truth they all live lavish lives of luxury spending other people's money, surrounded by servants, women, and all the amenities anyone could want - squandering other people's earnings and fathering more kids than the rabbits in my back yard...
here's a story on the life of luxury bin Laden was living while forcing others to cow tow to his will and send their daughters and children to die as suicide bombers...

That was his game plan to begin with. Look how flying has changed. Terrorist groups didn't need this to hate us. We never got "sucked" into the game, we were forced into it on 9/11.

Absolutely right and thank you for correcting my terminology...forced is a better way of putting it. I did not mean "sucked" as in they tricked us into fighting them...forced is what I meant.
They didn't need this to hate us but I'm afraid it continues the cycle. As long as there is an Israel they probably won't like us. I hope that comment isn't too controversial.

This was a nice exclamation mark on the war against terror but what happens in the next few months will really decide on what happens to Obama's rating.
I say Obama allows them to examine Bin Laden's hard drives & other intelligence, do some more raids based on that and then bring a majority of the troops back home. Al Qaeda will always be a force in terrorism, just like the Crips, Bloods and GD's back home here. You can kill the leader but the gang will remain forever. No need to have a full force of Troops overseas, bring most of them back home and patrol our borders, put them in airports, train stations, airplanes. This will save a ton of money on the budget and make all of Congress happy.
Then Obama needs to get this gas price situation under control. If he can't do either of these 2 things, then he not getting my vote.

Oh, you mean the Obama who said he wants higher energy prices, and that the government should send "price signals" to effect change in peoples behavior. We should all go buy Chevy Volts even if they set our house on fire, because we'll get a tax credit to do it.

Get gas prices down?? Obama controls gas prices? If we pull out of the middle east gas prices WILL NOT decline. Violence would INCREASE between countries, gas prices would go up due to the violence and even if violence didn't occur it would still go up because we aren't there anymore. We're over there to stake our energy claim against China/Russia. China already has East Turkistan aka XinJiang an absolute wasteland of genocide and nuclear waste all for the lake of natural gas it sits on. The middle east is a mess and all the special interests over there is mind boggling. It should be reason enough to get started on american energy and renewable energy, but neocons man...neocons
IMO, the reasons that we are seeing the higher gas and commodity prices are a direct result of the easing of position limits etc by both parties throughout the years. Yes, we need speculators to make the market work, but speculators who are left increasingly unchecked have created this market in which prices are easily manipulated. We need to reimpose regulations to eliminate the speculation in commodities by Wall Street and return the market back to speculation by the genuine end users.

How does the President lower gasoline prices? I'm unaware that commodity prices are set by the executive branch. If I'm incorrect with this assertion, then I demand lower prices on craft beer. $6-8 for a six-pack is totally un-American. Am I supposed to buy cheap bear owned by a European/African company?
