No BracketBuster for the Butler

Upon further review...............and reading the article again:

Butler says they will play UIC on BB weekend now. Does that mean that UIC is not in the BB too? Also says Butler was to have been on the road for this year's BB but when they resume in 2012 they will be at home ??????

No question that Butler needed the extra non-conference slot.

As for the home/road thing, since the entire Horizon League is in BB, they probably have a rotation of teams set, and switching Butler to the road in '12 would cause imbalance elsewhere.

edit: And reading the article, sounds like 2 home slots left for them. If Bradley ever wanted to finish the last game of the Butler contract, there's your dates.

The good thing about BB is that the teams are matched up relatively well according to the teams' record up until that point.
Had we played a little better before the pairings date, we could have drawn a better team, which, with a win, could have given us a chance to be invited to the NIT. I think BB has been good for the Valley. I didn't like seeing so many home games though. There should be no more than 5 home games for the Valley for BB weekend.
