My son and I will be there! Who else is going? I remember a post from last season about the great time BU fans had at Valpo and don't want to miss out this time!

My son knows half the players and I think they know/remember him, especially Quanny who was the leader in his summer group. Kai Yu and Tana also should remember him/us with several chats.

Will be fun!

My wife and I went there last year. The stadium reminds me of a Chicago suburban high school gym. There should be good seats available. Try to get seats behind the Bradley bench, about 6-7 rows above the bench. There is a good restaurant nearby called Industrial Revolution and the Fairfield Inn is about the only close motel to stay afterward. A lot more students attended that game than our current Bradley students and were
engaged in the game. I would like to go again, but I have too many commitments that day.

the Industrial Revolution is an awesome restaurant- been there several times..

also- on the way over to Valparaiso on Rt. 30 just west of Merrillville is the Albanese factory & Candy Store...
a great place to stop if you have kids - especially check their bargain bin of gummy rejects (like frogs with 3 legs or two
gummy bears stuck together) - they package them up and sell really cheap - like $4-5 for 2, 3 or 5 lb bags!
Plus just about every kind of candy imaginable.
A great place to stop for a few minutes with kids...

Hey! Thanks! We'll try to stop by here before the game. Depends on rush hour traffic through Chicago. We plan to leave at 2:30 from NW suburb, so hopefully will hit the bad rush hour. Stopping before 5:00 to grab a quick bite. We purchased tix behind the BU bench!!

I've been there several times, and the last few times were great. The only bad memory was the Feb. 22, 2020 game. Bradley was favored to win and came into the game 19-9, 10-5, and on a 4-game MVC win streak. They had a double-digit lead for much of the first half. But then Valpo, who came into the game shooting only 32.5% from three, caught fire and ended up making 18-28 threes in the game to beat Bradley 90-78. That was painful to watch.

Bradley got the last laugh, as they went on to win the MVC Tournament and got revenge on Valparaiso by beating them in the Championship game of the tournament, 80-66. Unfortunately, that was the year the NCAA made the decision to cancel the NCAA Tournament a few days later, and Bradley was robbed of the chance to play.

Yeah DC - that Valpo team would catch fire at times, including in the MVC Tourney. We played a superb 2nd half to pull away in the title game!

Fazekas and Freeman-Liberty were great when we played them from my recollection.

We were right behind the BU bench that nite, Valpo came out in the 2nd half and drained 11-15 threes - 73.3%
Even some of their guys who never took threes were raining them in

Let me also vouch for the Albanese Candy Factory. They're one of the few places that is a truly award winning shop. As someone who admittedly is a sucker (no pun intended) for gummy candy, they are my absolute favorite and the choices are incredible.

Preview is up ... found a really cool graphic showing how BU and Bully are second half performers: https://bubraves2006.substack.com/p/feb-18th-valley-game-17-at-valparaiso
