This is a good article that gives us a preview of what we might expect from Geno and our Braves. I especially like to hear how Geno is tailoring the offense specifically to this team; that we have no true PG so the team will use their athleticism to run and play at a fast pace. Win or lose it should be an exciting season.

The offense isn??™t exactly what Ford used at Kent State or what top assistant Greg Graham employed at Oregon and Boise State.

???They??™re trying to go with our personnel,??? Eastman said. ???We don??™t have an actual point guard so he??™s catering to us not needing a true point guard ??” just everybody getting out and running.???

Said forward Taylor Brown: ???It??™s the right system for us. It??™s very fast and very exciting. We??™re a team that can really do some damage being longer and more athletic than some teams in the Valley.???

Nice to hear about SS as a likely starter. I think that means playing big!

So I'm guessing the likely starters would be:
DSE
JP
TB
SS

And... WL or JE?

I'm still sticking with my crazy lineup in the official thread, though ;)

pretty sure it will be Walt with those four

Is DS not considered a true PG? Or does this just mean he won't be ready to handle major minutes as one yet this year? Will we see much of him at all this year?

I don't think Coach Ford considers him a true point guard yet. He is more of a scorer, as most kids are in high school.

I think coach Ford addressed which freshman are more ready to play now and also stated we have no true point guard so D.S. is not being labeled as a point guard which is why our first new recruit was a point guard.

I think signing another point guard is smart. There should always be 2 point guards on a team. Sure, in an ideal world, they are spaced further apart. But having a backup takes priority to spacing.

I would think there should always be ONE point guard on a team!

We do ot have the type of point guard needed to run Geno"s system. he wants a faster one that can also handle the ball better, the ones we have now are better at a slower pace.

Exactly.....which according to the article translates into not having a true point guard. It would be nice to have one for the system that's in place.

Whatever be with Milos I like his attitude a ton! He seems to be the most positive player on this team. Sometime it takes a player a few years to showcase their skills. I'm hoping we'll see that from AT as well.

+1 just stating that it is difficult to gauge players in preseason team scrimmages.
