New Cardinals manager?

I am hearing stories that the Cardinals are going to announce their new manager tomorrow. Sounds like ex-Cardinal Mike Matheny could be getting the job. If true, it should suprise some people. I never heard his name come up after LaRussa retired.
 
Check out twitter. There has been a lot of speculation about Matheny getting the Cardinals job over the past several days.
 
I like it. I would much rather have Matheny over Francona or Sandberg....but liked the idea of Oquendo as well.

I have a poster of matheny in my room at my parents. I loved him as a player.

I was surprised that the Cardinals interviewed Sandberg as he seems to be different than Francona, Oquendo, and Matheny. To date, it appears that the Phillies aren't eager to offer Ryno a promotion either. There seems to be a divided opinion as to how good Sandberg is as a manager. It will be interesting to see what will happen next for Ryno's managerial career.
